This was Concord Hospital, Concord, NH calling about a bill.

The caller identified herself as calling from Concord Hospital, requesting date of birth information and present street address information to confirm she was speaking to a guardian/parent. She would not give out any information in regards to the call specifics until I gave her the information. I refused to give information out and then she proceeded to say it was in regards to a bill past due and would I please settle it today with a credit card? No freaking way! I told her to send us a bill and we would pay with a check, that no way was I going to give her my credit card information over the phone. We live in NH and this 855 area code is not registered to any specific geographical area!

Sounded like a phishing scam to me. We got a registered letter in the mail over a month ago from our health insurance carrier admitting their database had been hacked and it was possible that private information was stolen.

This is the Concord Hospital billing department. They are trying to collect an outstanding debt.

I also recieved a call from the Concord Hospital Billing Office and if they are using spoofing tactics to contact clients about a bill they are stooping very low.No Info out of me.

855-705-4971 IS the correct number for Concord Hospital Billing but sadly it isn't listed anywhere on the Internet.  I'd been waiting for 2 months for them to fix and rebill an innaccurate statement.  They finally called and all was well.  That said, you still can't trust incoming calls.  A phisher could spoof the number it in your Caller ID.  Dial the number back yourself and be sure they are who you were expecting.  In this case they had the correct Date of Service, Amounts, Disputed Amount and Adjustment.  So I paid it with my HSA cars.  If you still don't feel safe, look up the billing department online and call that instead.

I get these calls regularly saying my brother owes them money. He is dead, and he was on medicaid anyway, so I am sure they were paid.

I received a call from (855) 705-4971 saying they were calling from Concord Hospital.  Not sure why because I have not been to Concord Hospital in two years and was fully insured when I went there and have never received a bill. Not sure if I should call them back because it's an "855" number and I think it could be a scam.

I do not think this is about a bill. They call repeatedly. I do not owe any bills...?
