My computer said I had a virus and had to call this number.  When I called, it was someone from India and they could not tell me the name of their company.  They asked to "take control" of my computer.  Obviously, I said no and hung up.

my computer has been blocked and told me there is  a virus. The computer only shows the message and asked me to call the number. I called the number and i think the person is from india. I couldnt understand what he is saying but clearly he wants to fix it with a price. So, i hung up the phone.

My computer was locked by a hacker who said they were my cable company. they said to call 1-855-707-6272 which said that technicians were standing by to fix my computer. I called the number but no one answered, only elevator music. I knew it was a scam, but I was going to call them to tell them they were being reported to the FCC, which I intend to do.
