I got text, “ Congratulations on your Admission to Utah Tech! Check out your scholarship consideration through this link: https://utahtech.campuscommunicator.com/….”

But is not and edu domain and I didn’t apply for anything

They texted "Your Utah Tech Financial Aid offer is ready..." with a link to click. I didn't click the link, but logged onto my daughter's Utah Tech account and there were no messages waiting. I believe this is fraud.

Received text wanting to verify my login credentials at my University

This number sent me a message saying I was awarded the Kem & Carolyn Scholarship. Didn't apply for anything and provided a link that wasn't "edu."

I got a text reminding me to log into my school’s portal to complete requested information. Had a link provided as well to log in to.

Called asking for personal information to verify an overnight package. I hung up. Did not order anything and was not expecting anything

I got a text twice already to sign additional financial aid forms for my school but I didn't click on the link. I am sure it's a scam because I personally logged into my school accnt center and there was nothing to sign since I had already signed all forms nothing was pending and I was given my projected fafsa amt for the next year.

I had the same thing happen to me. They messaged me twice in a row, providing a link both times. I didn't even look at the links because the number already made me suspicious. I know what the numbers from my university look like, so that was a big tip-off that the number was probably a scam. And now that I've been on this website and reading comments about this number, I know for certain that it's a scam. That being said, if anyone receives a message or call from this number, do not respond and just block the number. Report it as spam if your phone allows you to.
