it is a mortgage insurance protection number.  I called out of curiosity.

Its spam and I also got a card in mail. They have no right for my personal  business

Rec'd a postcard with no company mentioned requesting a call back to this number.  Thanks to info posted here, I now know it's connected with mortgage insurance. No need to call to find out more. It's apparent they are combing through public records for recently recorded mortgages. Disturbing that they send a postcard with the information that you've recently closed on a mortgage - nobody else's business!

I received the post card others have reported asking me to call this number about my mortgage. In the fine print the sender calls itself "H.W.C" and admits no connection to my mortgage company. I did not bother to call them.

I also received this card today.  Makes me mad how they try to trick people into thinking that it is something important.  Thanks for everyone's responses.

Received a call earlier this year.  Now a postcard with no identifying information other than the toll free number.  The card identifies the Bank holding the mortgage and I assume some Mortgage ID number they created. In small print they state that the mortgage bank did not provide information

Just received same card . Yesterday hot one from PNC. PNC Bank uses all caps and both places spelled my name wrong

I just received the same card, this number should be reported, have no business with my loan whatsoever

Got a PINK card about recently closed mortgage using HWC 855-715-1655 which evidently a fake number  the phone number was  855-715-1655 to call asap.  Got rotary to ask questions like age, sex,  LOL didn't let me pick transgender, and call back number.  So put fake info in all because I wanted a company name to report to the authorities.  Well, nothing but a thank you that I would get a call back (from someone selling something)  Too bad.  Fake phone number input for call back.

I got the same postcard.  Hummm I didn’t know I had a mortgage!!!  Haven’t had one in many years.  Scammers all the way!!
