This company goes my the name of SmartFares and is a total scam.  Do a google search on these people and you will see proof.

Here's what happened.  I booked a flight through them and a few hours later they cancelled it saying there was a problem with my payment. I legitimately got tickets from delta.com at first, and then got a cancellation notice also from delta.com.  They both booked and cancelled the flight.  Then they said that since my account was flagged I needed to rebook using a "one vanilla" gift card and for my inconvenience they would bump me to first class.  Well, it sounded great but I didn't stop to think about what was happening.  They said I couldn't use the same, or even a new credit card.

So I purchased $500 in 2 gift cards to make the payment.  In the end,  I never got tickets and they kept the money.

So, the whole scam is set up to appear legitimate at first by using your real credit card to secure and cancel the flight.  Then, they have the long sob story to make you feel bad and convince you to use a non-refundable method of payment.

I got scammed and it sucks.  But I won't cry too bad over $500.  I only desire at this point to warn others so that they don't fall victim to these horrible people.

I think they are either in the Philippines or India, but I can't be certain.  The only thing I can be sure of is that I'm out $500 and had to book again through a well-known travel site instead.
