Called me reference to case number that is all

Received a call and they left a voicemail with a case number.  I called the number back and they stated they were GSG Associates and I was speaking with Nichole.  I gave her the case number and she asked when I received the call because they did not call me.  I asked what it was in regards to and they stated that I wrote out a back check from Associated Bank to Highland (which is a payday loan company I found out).  I let them know that I have never heard of Highland, that I received a call regarding another bad check from Associated bank awhile back, I called Associated Bank and they said I owed them nothing and I did not right a bad check and I also told her that I don't owe anything to anyone.  She said that's ok you can sort it out in court.  I will be calling Associated Bank again.

Just contacted Associated Bank and they stated if you write out a bad check it would go to their collection agency if not paid and neither GSG or Highland are the company they deal with. They also stated that it would show up on your credit report as a collection from whatever company you owe.  It is definitely a scam call.  Creditors cannot threaten you with taking you to court and there are processes that they must follow and harassing phone calls is not part of it.  PLEASE if you receive a call from these people DO NOT give any information or payments.

Called me and said they had a case against me for bank fraud and charges had been filed.  I had gotten calls like these before.  Also said it was due to a payda loan.  NEVER HAPPENED!!  I yelled at her and told her she was a fraud and to go out and get a real job!!

Just got this call on my work phone; that they had a case against me and charges had been filed.

They ate a fraud teeing to get money from a fraudulent payday loan company.  All of their that's are open ended.  They won't take you to court. They don't show up on credit report and if you did get a pay day loan and paid it off mossy if these payday loan company's with the exception of a few credited ones will still sell your information off.  DO NOT give them any info DO NOT pay them any money. Especially DO NOT give them back account info.  They will take you for everything you have.  If you " pay them in full" they will continue to take money every chance they get.  They will hit you 2 3 4 times a week and suck your account dry and continue to hit you giving you overdraft after overdraft

if they threaten you with that court bs just tell them ok they wont bother you again they know you are not falling for that bs

I received a voice mail from this crew saying they are looking for someone. I will call them back and see what they have to say.

ID themselves as GCG, when you call the number you get that same creepy hold music sometimes associated with overseas scammers.  Lady answered me when I called stated they were not a debt collecting group but a "mediation" group.  Right.    Lady hung up on me when I confronted her.

Clearly some sort of debt scamming operation.  Ignore and block any calls from this group.

yes they have called me and told me they had documents to serve me on my job and that I should call a certain phone number and give a claim number.  I never called.  They call me several times a week.

I've been getting calls from this person/organization about another person(my ex), and I've told them over and over that me and this person(my ex) no longer speak to each other. So I finally called them back to have them remove me from there system, hopefully it worked!

Appears to be scam call.  Have been getting these calls for a while and never a real person, never leaves a number to call back.  Have found some stuff online saying it is a scam.  Maybe rotates numbers they call from once every 1-2 years but sounds like the same place and has been calling for years, though different numbers sometime.

Same message as the others, with a case number. I didn't call them back.

Thanks guys, just got a call from this number and looked it up as I was talking to them. It was a pay day loan officer, Miss Balance, only problem m never made a loan. Laughed at her aand told her she was on the Internet as a scam and she could cram it! Whata a crock.

My old iPhone 4 cleverly dropped the cell signal, so I only received a voicemail notification.  Oddly, the voicemail didn't upload properly, so I called, spoke to a nice young lady who looked up my number and turns out it was a wrong number in their system, so hopefully they won't call again.  Definitely could tell it was a call center though.

CID shows number - Recording appearing to be from a collection agency looking for a past employee of ours.  Can't speak to it's legitimacy or lack thereof.

My friend got a call from them looking for me and forwarded it to me.  This is GSG Associates and the are a collection agency that collects on "bad checks" which includes void checks that a person may write to a payday loan group such as ACE CASH.  They can threaten court collection even though most collection agency do not IF they have a valid bad check.  I spoke to a lawyer and a void check to a payday loan company is not a void check as the check has void written on it, at least mine does.  Other bad checks for NSF can be collected on through the courts if they elect to take a person to court.  Many times the collection agency is not the original creditor's first assigned collection agency as debt is often bought or reassigned over and over again from one collection agency to another.  This means that if you call they original creditor (the original reason for the debt) they may indeed tell you that GSG is not their collection agency, however that agency may have sold or given away the collection rights to another agency and so and so forth so at some point the original creditor wouldn't even know who is collecting.
