I received a call from an unknown number and did not answer it; they left a voicemail that told me to call 855-738-8734 along with a case number. The went on to say "if you don't call then parties may be forced to proceed without you." At no time did they identify themselves or why they were calling. I tried to call the number back and got no answer. Looks like another number I will be blocking as spam....

This company called "Corporate Answering Service" left me a voice mail with a case number and a name of someone they were trying to contact. It sounded important and I figured they had the wrong number so I called back to inform them of their mistake. I told the person what had happened and that they need to update their files, as I was not the person they were trying to reach. The man on the line demanded to know who I was and would not listen to anything I had to say. He tried to argue that I had to be this person or they would not have called me, etc. etc. I finally just hung up. It was insane!
The person who left the message didn't identify the company he was calling from. I strongly suspect some sort of scam was forthcoming had I not hung up.

I got a call at 3:00 PM today that came in as "restricted".  I don't care who you are, I will not answer a restricted call.  When I did not answer the call, they left a message.  It was a woman who talked so fast I couldn't understand her name.  As near as I could make out it sounded something like maybe Deanna Fleishman.  She said the message was for Walter Clark and referred to a file no. 199193-01.  She said to call her office at 855-738-8734 by the end of the day or further action would be taken without his consent.  She said a complaint had been forwarded to her office.
I don't know if this is some sort of scam or if someone really is trying to contact Walter Clark.  BTW I am not Walter Clark and don't know any Walter Clark.

This is a collection agency and a scam. They are pretending to be a law firm. They threatened to sue my husband on an old bank account they say he defaulted on in 1990. The only problem with that, however, is that he was in grade school at the time and didn't have  a bank account. In fact, the bank they said he opened it at didn't even exist in his state where he resided. They are evasive and rude. Also the statute of limitations on old debts runs out after a few years not two decades. They did have his social and birthdate but our information was stolen in the the Target red card issue that happened a few years ago. Tell them to screw off and stop calling.

I got a call today from 256-203-1260 which I think is a spoofed number.  Since I didn't recognize the number I didn't answer it.  In the voicemail a female caller identified herself as Amy Phillips.  She said this message was for Walter Clark.  She said she was trying to contact Mary Clark and that she had called my number because it was listed as an emergency contact for Mary.  So basically the same story as the first call except now it was Mary Clark they were going to take action against instead of Walter.  And today she said to call back 866-814 5898.

I've been having the same problem with unknown numbers or numbers that identify their self as insurance agencies. Also car salesman.
