This company called my sister-in-law and told her they were trying to reach me because they had file on me. When she texted me, I called the number. They do not answer the phone with a company name, but do you a file number. First clue they are probably a collection agency. This one I believe is called Harbor View. The guy said his name was Chris Riley. No one is allowed to give any information regarding any debt, real or alleged to anyone by the person who owes it. Period. Straight from the Fair Credit Act. This guy goes on to say he audit my social to see if Cash Call should sue me for a past due balance from 2010. He wanted to know if I wanted to set up payment arrangements. I told him I needed to speak to my attorney as I didn't know what any of this was about I would call him back. When I called back, (about 10 minutes later after speaking with an attorney), I asked for a copy of the contract. The guy got hateful and said, don't you keep a copy of your contracts? I mentioned statute of limitations and he said I had to call Cash Call if I wanted a copy because I would already be served if he requested because it would take 90 days if he did it. I said if you have the account and my file, shouldn't you have all this information? He told me to get my attorney and be ready to go to court and hung up on me.
