I received a call I didn't answer. A voice message was left. It was a song, only. No spoken words.

Identified themselves as a tech support company I'd once purchased a firewall from and tried to get remote access to my computer. I called the advertised number for the company and they identified them as unauthorized.

This person hacked my 11 year olds computer and destroyed it!!  Don't answer or call this number. He says his name is Ray from tech. Support. He is from India.

they virus-scammed my father-in-law's computer.  OMNI-TECH SUPPPORT.
Will need to wipe and reinstall the computer.
I am pursueing fraud charges against the company that ran the $299.99 charge.

This Indian man says his name is Ethan and it is a scam! Do not give info & hang up!

Fake tech support company, claims you have errors and wants to get into your computer to install spyware and steal your identity. Waste their time and don't let them in your computer to make it not profitable for them to call people.

claimed to be a microsoft tech, claiming that i have computer problems that he could fix for 199.99. it was clear that he had a India accent. his name was Shane Wilson. (red flag). Could not produce a case #, (red flag). Caller ID said 800 service,(red flag). everything he offered the REAL microsoft already does for free. DO NOT ANSWER !

"John Smith" call and stated he was tech support for Microsoft. When I told them I would not pay them and wanted to call McKee,  they locked my computer and now I have a blown mother board on a 2 year old computer.

You would have had to allow them access for that to happen.

SCAM  Now what?  I gave them access by mistake and then cut the call short but I am pretty sure it is too late.

Pop-up ad tells you to call this number and talk to a Microsoft tech support to assist you with removal of a virus or a spyware. This is a Fake Spam, and they will charge you hundreds of dollars to fix your computer.

Yes, but the point is that the computer does not need fixing.  So they will charge you hundreds of dollars to install malware and steal all the information on that computer.

When I had an issue with Quicken, they directed me to this person, I gave access because I thought they were with Quicken. They worked on my computer for hours and seem to have fixed some issues and I paid them. They installed a program called Network Sheild.exe to protect me. They called me several times over last few months to see if all OK. They now say they are from Microsoft and need to fix services which have stopped. They also use phone # (833)441-9444

100% scam. Told them I was having issues with logging into my outlook account. They reviewed the setting and told me that I needed to purchase a specific service. Either a 3 year plan, 5 year plan, or lifetime plan... told them I was not interested in moving forward at this time (as I knew that wasn’t the reason for error). He became irritated and started threatening.
