I get anywhere from 10-23 calls a day saying my Apple account has been compromised and if using to pay bills to stop until I call this number 1-855-779-5028. How can this be stopped if a scam!

Whoever they are, they're slick. Received a robocall voicemail (joined in progress because apparently it started playing over my outgoing message) from a spoofed number that was the local Apple Store (Syracuse NY), asking to call back this 855- number and speak to a "support adviser". Reports on Apple's support web site reinforce suspicions that it's a phishing scam.

Most definitely a scam.  They called us 5 times (at least) on Dec. 10, and as others have reported their message seems to start immediately, so I didn't get their entire message.  However, the essence of it was "my i-cloud account was compromised".   EXCEPT --- I DON'T HAVE ANY KIND OF MAC EQUIPMENT AT ALL!   Disregard all calls from this number, and block it (if you can).   (Of course, soon enough they'll move on to another number, but that's a different problem!   They've tried this on us previously, as well, about 6 months ago.  At that time they had spoofed the number of the Apple Store at The Grove, here in L.A.
