Asked for our daughter to call them. I called Blue Cross-Blue Shield (Different #), but they had no record of a call.

My mother told me me she received a call from Blue Cross Shield and they said they had a reminder for me but didnt say for what. Not going to call them back.

Call came from +1 (412) 894-1615 I answered once and a recording asked for my husband by name to call him at the number listed - did not give an option to sw a rep. Call from same number a second time left a message with the request for her by by name to call back the same 855 number.

Received voice message, said from Anthem Blue Cross; requested that I call them back.  Caller ID shows call came from area code 412. I did not return the call.

Received a call today, which was a recording.  They claimed to be Blue Cross Blue Shield Anthem and requested that I call them back.  I had actually answered the call, and there was no option to speak to a live person. BCBS would contact me by mail, so I'm not going to call back.

I received the same call. They left a message to call back 855-790-5018. The message indicated they were Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. I happen to have Anthem as my work health insurance, so I called the number back from my phone. The recording verified my name, but asked to verify my date of birth. Something did not feel right, so I gave an incorrect date. They apparently knew it was incorrect and disconnected. I then called the REAL Anthem customer service number on my card, and they indicated it absolutely was NOT them. DO NOT VERIFY ANYTHING WITH THIS NUMBER!

I believe 100% this is a scam, beware!   The incoming Caller ID showed Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, but it was NOT them.

They left a message for me on my husband's work number, saying they're Blue Cross Blue Shield calling for (and gave my name), and to call back on 855-790-5018 for some important health information.  MY HUSBAND SAID THE CALLER ID SHOWED:  ANTHEM, BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD.
When I called that number back,  the recording asked me to input the telephone number the message was left on. I input that number, but then they said to protect my privacy and verify who I am, they asked to verify my date of birth by using the telephone keypad, to input by birthdate.
Something did not feel right, so I hung up.  DO NOT VERIFY ANYTHING WITH THIS NUMBER!

I received the same VOICEMAIL message on 08/18/2019 @ 10:46 AM EST but the phone never rang.  I only received the voicemail notification and no incoming call showed up as a missed call.  The message came from 978-775-6227 and Verizon identified it as SPAM.  They left a message to call back 855-790-5018. The message indicated they were Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Obviously fraud.

Received a call stating this was Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield with some "quick information they needed to share".  Then asked if I was (name on my insurance card), I answered "yes", and then auto attendant asked me to verify my date of birth and social...I hung up.

scam call  - not BCBS - want your insurance info to bill

Automated call came in from a 978-760-5018 saying it was BCBS asking for my wife, saying there was a reminder for her...ask to have her call back in at  855-790-5018.  I called the 855 # and it was another automated greeting asking "which account" I was calling about...or something like that.  The list of companies they rattled off was all TV/Internet providers.  Obviously this is a scam of some sort.

SCAM!! ... said BCBS, but not them. called from 978-755-6227. 4 calls in the last 2 days, over a holiday weekend. for an important reminder. SCAM!!!

855-790-5018 called my husband's number stating it was Anthem and wanted me to call.  We have employer insurance with them. Made mistake of returning call and responding "yes" to two questions verifying my name. Number then hung up. I'm afraid I just messed up!

Called my husband's office phone an left message for me to call them. It showed up as Blue Cross/ Anthem. I called back an they ask for my date of birth. I gave it not realizing at the time it was not Blue Cross/ Anthem. I hung up after it started asking personal questions an called my Anthem. They know nothing about this. Said it's a scam.

I called the FTC an told them all about it. I too gave my name an birthday. Before realizing it was a scam. But the FTC said there's no need to worry because there's very little if anything they can do with that little bit of info. But if by chance you gave your SS# then you should put a credit freeze on that.
