I received a call from someone yesterday with this number, told me they tried to deliver a summons at my house and needed to verify my address. I called another number 855-799-3269 today and she said it was from a payday loan from a company I've never heard of. Original amount was $300 and now is over $1300 because of interest and fees. I've never seen an invoice or document and it's not on my credit report (was told they don't report to any credit bureau). She provided all of my info including my ssn. Said they would make two more attempts to deliver the summons before they garnish my wages (by default). I called the county court office and they have nothing on record. Seems like a scam but they have a lot of info

I had the same exact thing today. They had a lot of my info too.  I called the bank and they verified its a scam.  Try calling them back and having them meet you on the courthouse steps at a certain date and time.  They'll hang up and never call again.

I just received the exact same call. When j kept questioning them since none of that sounded right to me, they placed me on hold and never came back. I hung up and called back and nothing either. I was again placed on hold and no one came back on the line. And the number that called me the first time instructing me to call this number. I called that number back and it just kept ringing. Never got a response. Never got a voicemail. Nothing. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

This is most definitely a scam. They get your information online and use that information to try and extort money from you. Do not fall for this scam. Report them to the FCC and FBI.

just had the same phone number call saying i owe $1900 yet ive never taken out a loan with anyone but my bank and the summoned me to court. what a joke.

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number.  Please note that process servers do not ever call ahead.  That way you can’t dodge them.
