This company appears to be some type of collection  agency. I got a call from Mr. Moretti stating I was related to someone and he wanted to know how to contact them. When told wrong number ,no idea, It seems This individual  places your number on an auto dialer and starts calling. The automated dialer tells you the type of debt and other items that are illegal to provide to anyone but the debtor. The guy represented himself as a tony moretti at ext 105.

The main switch board goes unanswered and so does the extension. This guy in my opinion is a slim ball and report all cases to the State AG's office, FTC and local law enforcement as harassment.

We recieve calls from a Mr. Bronson, with "Brown and Meyer" as well as a few other people from this "company" or "law firm" or "debt collection agency", whatever they wish to be on any given day, stating they want us to send money to them for a supposed debt we owe. Although Brown and Meyer is an actual law firm, it's not them calling from this number. Well, there is no debt for one, and two, they refuse to send paper work in the mail. They only want to converse on the phone, thru email or fax. They are rude, anything from threats to cussing and yelling, and for those of you out there reading this that haven't already figured it out... this is a scam! Do NOT give them your info, you do not have to, not matter what they try to threaten you with. We have filed a police report and contacted a lawyer against this place for their threats and harrassment, yes, it has been that bad!

i have gotten a different number that called me for that same company and when i looked it up, it said it had been used in scams.  i had talked to many people at this number and they keep passing the buck.  i even had one of them hang up on me.  great customer service!!!!!!!
i had asked for proof of this debt and they told me that they would send me a letter of demand.  this is not proof.  by law they have to send you a copy of the actual bill, loan or whatever it is that you owe.  if they dont they are violating laws and they are only suppose to call you no more than once a day. i cant remember the name of the agency that sets these laws but there is a form that you can send to get them to stop calling you.  at least until if goes to court if it does.  if it does and they dont give you valid proof that you owe this debt, it will be pretty much get thrown out and they will not get their money.

This place is so stupid. They have called a lot of times over the past few months and honestly just blew them off with the fact there calling my dad’s house. Have not used that number in over 5 years, and that’s one red flag.  I get no calls there unless it’s one of these scum sucking companies calling. This week he received already 3 calls saying,” I need a call back to discuss the legal actions there about to proceed with. When I call back give the file number”
Well they never even say who they’re calling for, and what file number, they have never provide a file number when they call. Come on kids, if you’re going to try and steal from hard working people at least get some game. There are so stupid, and don’t deserve a red cent.

I have had multiple calls, the most recent from someone who identified himself as Investigator Conrad Bernstein, looking for Kenneth Kramer, and stated that if he did not get a call back immediately he would turn the file over to the district attorney's office.  I called back this morning (from my work number) and asked for him; the person who answered would not let me speak to him and would not give me his name.  I told him that I had the same phone number for 27 years and no one by the name they asked for had ever lived there, and I demanded they remove my number and never call it again.  he called me a liar and berated me and told me that I did not understand the law, and that they would do whatever they wanted to do.

"...he called me a liar and berated me and told me that I did not understand the law, and that they would do whatever they wanted to do."

Is that so? Well, the next time he calls, let him know he is being recorded (legal in most states), that you understand the law perfectly and intend to have him prosecuted for (among other things), making illegal threats, impersonating law enforcement, attempted extortion and wire fraud.

How can I verify whether or not a debt collector is legitimate?
Here are a few warning signs that could signal a debt collection scam:

The debt collector threatens you. Legitimate debt collectors probably won't claim that they'll have you arrested or claim that they or their employees are law enforcement officers.

The debt collector refuses to give you information about your debt or is trying to collect a debt you do not recognize. You have certain rights to ask a debt collector to verify the debt. You can use this sample letter to request this information. Ask for an explanation in writing before you pay.

The debt collector refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number.

The debt collector asks you for sensitive personal financial information. You should never provide anyone with your personal financial information unless you are sure they're legitimate.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.

Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
    The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.

Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know the company or person you are talking with is a real debt collector. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft such as:
    Charging your existing credit cards
Opening new credit card or checking accounts
    Writing fraudulent checks
Taking out loans in your name

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Submit a complaint with the CFPB or get in touch with your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers.

Stop speaking with the caller. If nothing else works and you believe the calls are fraudulent, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files.

Tip: You can use this sample letter to write a letter demanding the debt collector stop contacting you. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).
