I keep getting calls from a company called Coastal.  Initially their call is computer generated, then you get put through to an "agent".  If you don't answer, they leave a message which says they are calling about a suit that's been filed against you and threatens legal action.  If you answer, and tell them they have the wrong number or person, they get very rude and obnoxious, which in my experience usually indicates a scam.  Although they had my name and the spelling correct, the SSN and address were wrong.  They were looking for someone who lives in Texas, yet they keeping calling a number in Florida.  Looking up an area code is the easiest thing in the world, so evidently they're not bothering to check the contact details before they make the call.  If this company was seriously trying to track someone down, surely that's the first thing they would do - get the correct phone number.  Again, this is obviously a scam.  I've already reported it to the FBI.

This company the same as the previous comment state and keep leaving me messages and threaten with law suit or felony complaint they have my first and last name but wrong ss number and birth date, but they still harras me and get very rude nasty and vulgar as soon as you are trying to speak with letting them know they are bothering the wrong person

I also received a call such as this. A computer generated messag was left and I called back, trying to verify what was going on as it was so vague (only my name and we're going to sue basically). They state I owe a bill from 2009!!!! and have not been able to collect from a payday loan. Untrue. Furthermore, if they are putting money IN accounts, why wouldn't they draw back off the same account. I told them to send whatever paperwork for review. They don't even have a correct address.

An automated message for me also.They will not give their mailing address oranything  which is law.BIG TIME SCAM.Never give a dime to them  they have called my son my niece  my work phone my cell phone  and my home phone.I think its time  for a complaint against them.

Just ask for their  mailing address .They then will tell you  they will send written proof  with a process server.I live in  New Jersey  and payday loans  are illegal  here.They tell me  for security reasons  they cant  give any info out on their  company.BULLSH*T

Same company called me.  Also said I had a payday loan from 2012.  When I kept asking for more details they got stumped. Just kept telling me to pay to clear my name.  When I said I would call back after I talked to my insurance agent about identity theft because this debt wasn't mine they hung up.   I guess I don't owe it anymore.

They will also call from a company called GDS solutions  all the same.

Scam keep calling for my husband saying he will be served. We are both on do not call but it doesn't work. Hung up on me twice. Super shady

Saying it's a court matter!  Lose my number!

Same as everybody else. They have called my cell several times as well as my work. When I tried to call back kept getting voicemail that gave an error message or the voice mailbox was full - if they were really looking for me then they would know where I am as I have lived in the same place for over 4 years and had the same phone # and employer for over 9. So frustrating!!!!

Received the same call as stated in the prior comments. Tried to call them back and have never been able to get thru. Message said it was a formal complaint filed against my. I owe no one and have never been in any trouble. Complete Scam.

My mother received a call today, unfortunately, she does not have caller ID and could not give me the #. However, the AUTOMATED message stated that they had received a complain against <insert name>.  They name they were providing was my dad, who passed away in 2006!!  Mom waited and selected "0" to speak with someone. When they came on the phone, they tried to get Mom to give them the last 4 digits of his SSN.  She refused, so they advised her they could not continue the call since they could not verify who they were speaking with.  Mom advised them that Dad had passed almost 10 years ago and they hung up on her.  Seriously irritates me that she had to deal with this at all.
