are these people scam artist

Yes they are a scam.   This person is part of a gang of white collar thugs who go around telling people that they are going to be arrested  or that there are warrants out against them or some such criminal charge. All for a payday loan that you are supposed to have defaulted on.    Which is total nonsense.  Debt collectors do not prosecute and have no influence on the criminal justice system.   They will try to scare you into paying them money by Green dot money pak which is untraceable.

Do not return their calls.  Block their calls  Don't talk to them and don't give them any information.  DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY OR AGREE TO.

This number has called me on my work number more times than I can count looking for some person who doesn't seem to exist. I have NEVER heard of this person. I have told them OVER & OVER that they have the wrong number and have asked that my number be removed. Now they have ANOTHER number calling me looking for the same person and stating that this person is supposed to appear in court. I spoke to someone again who basically gave me an attitude and treated me like I was lying when I said I had no idea who this person was and hung up on me mid-sentence as I was asking that my number be removed.

This is an automated number asking you to call another number. Once that number is called they answer only as "investigations." Asked the company name and they said Burnett and associates..sounds like debt collectors. They said they would remove my name as I didn't know the person they were referring to. We'll see.

AND REQUESTING  YO TO CALL 855-816-6860. I ASKED THEM TO STOP  AND SHE SAID',YOU STOP CALLING1
