Left a message said that there might be a 1099 tax form sent out with name and SSN attached to it and that it could interfere with possible tax returns for 2014. said his name was Tim Oleary from the filing division of mns. Did not say who he was calling for. And that it would be in whomevers best interest to call them back immediately, but yet they did not say whom they were calling for in their message.

MNS and Associates LLC is the only thing I found online and weird that the number I was called from was a cell number and not a land based line. I also found this site that is against MNS:

This is a scammy debt collection group called  MNS & ASSOCIATES LLC located at CHEEKTOWAGA, NEW YORK.
They are waving around the IRS 1099C form, which is basically a debt forgiveness form.  The amount forgiven becomes part of your gross income for the current taxable year. I'm an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (inactive) and I can tell you that   half these people have no idea what they are talking about.  But--they think that waving around the IRS form will cause you to be scared into giving them some money.  Do not return the calls.  Do not give them any information.  Ignore them and block their calls.

Also got a call from "MNS Associates." Guy said his name was Ron Scurgenski (sp) and that I had all kinds of bad credit at HH Greg for a tablet and other stores. He was calling as a "courtesy" call because he was a debt collector.
