Received a call from an unknown caller who threatened to serve papers about an unknown debt. They left a message for me to call 855-818-9436. Someone was belligerent with me when I returned the call. Makes no sense at all!!! These people are running a scam and they had my social at least the last four numbers. I'm reporting them.

youre a deadbeat that owes creditors money and you dont want to pay so you slander the firm that contacted you saying they are a scam when you know damn well that you owe money. Just pay your bills and quit with the lies and the bullcrap you post online. Report yourself as being a deadbeat while youre at it!

I don't think I would consider this person to be a deadbeat,  just because another deadbeat called them and demanded money for an unidentified and alleged debt.    They said they did not know of any debt,   and the caller threatened to serve papers.    Papers?  What kind of papers?   Newspapers?   I applaud  him/her for not blindly paying  over the phone to an unknown caller,    because some unknown person,  called and said they need to.    Why don't you identify yourself and address the next time you call that person,  identify the debt,  and then send a usps letter with full validation of the debt.  Perhaps if the debt is owed and shown to be valid,  it will expedite an acceptable solution.

That was a rude answer to anonymous. I got the same call and I sure as hell don't owe any unpaid debts and when I returned the call they couldn't even find my file with that made up case number they supposedly have.
And what papers are they going to serve..and since when are you notified you are about to get served..you get served and that's it. Its really not that hard to find some one nowadays.

a Robert Levin called me today stating that I have two claims filed against me today. I was at work and could not talk in length so he left me a # 855-818-9346. I didn't get a chance to call back but received 8 back to back calls from an " unknown" or no caller id number. Hmmmm after googling it I found this interesting info. Thank you for sharing.

I received a call also telling me I need to pay 300.00 today if not then it would cost me like 4300.00 if I waited to do it . They would call my boss and the fbi had my Sss number so I couldn't use it ..

ID themselves as Offices of Civil Claims Investigator Megan White and David Goldstein.  In other words debt collectors. Unable to locate them.  Most likely a debt scamming operation.  Ignore and block their calls.

I stop by your residence in your place of employment. I have on file. I'm not sure if I have the correct information, so I'll be stopping by your local post office to get updated information. I will make one final attempt at service a process if they do not get a hold of you I will be sending an Affidavit of due diligence to the filing party Please get in contact with the claim of the office to get this straight at 855-818-9346 case number 42118, This is your final attempt to. Call the Claimant to Resolve this and to have them send me a formal cease and desist please do so.

That Bell person might work for them and that 's why she is talking like that, it is a scam and those people need to be stopped. Plain and simple

I had this company call me regarding another person's debt that had the same last name. I don't have any relative by the full name given. They wouldn't tell me the details of why they were calling but it started out as the same script. "This message is intended for _____, my name is Megan White calling with the arbitration claims department in reference to a pending judgement scheduled to go out to your county attached to your name and social security number. In accordance with state law, we are placing you on a 24 hour notice to return the phone call. Please be advised that I am contacting you in order to arbitrate the matter on a voluntary basis before it is submitted to your county. Please contact us at 855-818-9346, case number _____. You have been officially notified, thanks and good luck." Although I failed to get the information of how they got my number when I called them back, I am assuming they used the internet to find the person and saw my common first name and kept searching until they found working phone numbers. I have no debt, never filed bankruptcy, never failed to pay back a loan. Thank you Dave Ramsey! I am simply posting this to warn innocent people of what could happen to them as well. Collection agencies that do have any leads, likely use google, spokeo etc, find some names and phone numbers and start harassing them in hopes to collect money from a relative that might pay on behalf of or find that relative to help put pressure on the person who owes. The person on the other end could certainly work on their people skills as they were very rude, but then again, that is what works in their line of business to get results. Glad this is not my line of work.

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number


Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
