I received a post card in the mail from "Expedia" advertising for a local travel agency that is promoting their business by giving away a free 3 day/2 night weekend getaway including free airfair and a $50 expedia hotel cash card. Here is what "Gave Them Up" the operator said the travel agency - Payless Vacations out of our city was the travel agency.  Upon doing a bit of research (might be a new business) there is not such business in existence. I should have checked before I called and reserved a spot. So, long story short, I call back to cancel my attendance and they tell me this is a promotional event and I am not required to spend even one cent if I chose not to and will still leave with the free trip. 90 minutes in a room with stangers and I walk out with what they promise. What the heck, I will try it and report back what happens. They say to bring ID and a major credit card. I believe I will take one that is expired. I'll check in next week and let you all know what happened.
