I was told my computer had over 20000 viruses and that only their software could remove them. They wanted $180 to install their program which would make my computer run like new. I am convinced this was a scam from India

Some woman named Kate called from this number claiming she was from Microsoft. She said somebody was trying to break into my computer and it might crash if I turned it on. She even gave me a case number. The weird thing is she called me on my mom's phone, not mine. I called Microsoft and they said it's a scam.

Faith and Begorrah! I tell ye, I slide over the rainbow and landed square in the wee lap o a wee leprechaun sitting atop a wee pot o'gold!

"Tis Your's " He exclaimed jumping up and pulling a fine violin out the air and began playing and dancing a fine jig in celebration!  Then all the little wee leprechauns appeared carrying fine drink and fine foods, setting up wee little tables and chairs and musical instruments galore. The Fairy's flew in joining the fun, swirling around on the air did they have fun!

And in came the Unicorns horn band, prancing and dancing did they in step, tooting their horns, my I was blessed!  Such a  gran fine ol party I tell ye ya missed! The Elves came in dancing and Dwarves there galore!

Then I woke up.. Twas all a fine dream!

Yes, this scam makes the lives of those filthy untouchable chods "richer, better and smoother"... while they add malware and spyware to your computer and rob you blind.  And the "wrong impression" is the one left on Sagar's head.

They are not "Technical Support from Windows 8" they are criminals trying to take advantage of you. The instructions that they give to "help" you will install software on your computer to allow them to... well, do any number of things. They can steal all your personal information stored on your computer. They can use your computer to send spam. They can use your computer to host a web site for illegal activities. They can use your computer as part of a botnet for distributed denial of service attacks. And much more...

Hang up quickly if they call again.
