Called, answered, but didn't identify self. Caller ID said Caller Unknown. Guy said that I needed to call this number within an hour or face severe consequences...something involving a lawsuit. Said that I would be served papers at my address (which he had). I told him that I wouldn't be calling any number I didn't know.

I had a similar call yesterday. They left a message with someone at my work so I returned the call. It did not seem to be a legitimate company. The person did have personal information about me, yelled at me to "shut up" and demanded a payment by phone at that time. I hung up.

Same deal...collection agency.  Checked court records and nothing...lying about severity. ..

Pacific advantage associates.  Can't find them anywhere.

They called and left a message for me to call them, but have no business license and I can't find anything out about them.  They are very presistant about paying right away.   They won't provide any form of a paper trail or reason why the money is owed.
If anyone has advice on this company would be great.
