Toll-free: 877-503-9633 - Harrasment at workI just got the automated message as well. It even managed to make it through the main switchboard. How are they able to keep harassing businesses like this? The message I got was from ACRM. Google search brought up CRM first then ACRM. They were looking for a company employee. Who do they think they are?

I get calls on a regular basis from same phone #. They leave a message with a reference number and a bogus name, asking to call them back immediately. I called them back to see what they want. They are extremely rude and as soon as you start asking them questions or request to identify themselves they hang up. I asked them several times to remove my phone number from their system as I have no connection whatsoever with the person they have on file and they just hang up on me, calling again in the next few days. Do not fall for this, don't give them any personal information about yourself.
I had enough of this, so this is what I did - I reported this scam (because it is a scam) to Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre: http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.c ... eportfraud.html . Hopefully someone will take action and will investigate this. If you are Canadian and keep getting calls from these guys, I would recommend you do the same. The more reports the Agency gets, the more chances we have to stop this. Good luck!- Caller: Action Collections & Receivables Management

- VJMReceived a call this Saturday morning at 7:30AM in BC from 855-824-0653. Thanks to all the above information I called the number to ask them to remove us from their list. They are looking for my husband's ex-wife of thirty years back. Talked to a person who said it would take 48 hours for them to stop the calls. I have now blocked the number and the others listed above.

- sid replies to MaxGoogle FDCPA and learn your rights as far as debt collections. Next time they call, find out what it is that they want. Whether you owe a debt or not, dispute any claim that they make, then demand written validation of the Original alleged debt as well as their right to claim and collect in your state. Do not accept any excuses or anything via email or fax. If they refuse to provide this validation, they are violating the Fair Debt Collections act and until they do, you owe nothing. Refuse to discuss it any further over the phone until this validation is provided. They are a low life bottom feeding shyster debt collector of old and out of SOL or nonexistent debts.

- A jonesYou keep leaving messages for someone names peter at this number. I don't know who you're looking for, but it's not me
- Mikayla replies to About to lose it!They refuse to send me documentation as well. I've cooperated as best as I could but stated I wanted to see actual documentation and instead they just harass me and my parents.
- NOT KNOW WHAT TO DOI am receiving calls from Action Collections. The bill they say they are collecting is 4X the amount of the bill I had. I was very ill for 2 years and now I can no longer work and they cannot produce a bill to show me and the company I owed no longer has a record of the bill since they only keep it for 2 years, but they know the amount. They say they follow the Fair Debt Collections Act which happens to be an American code not Canadian.

- fcukcreditors replies to Jim| 3 replieslmfao these idiots are trying to secure $2200 from me in the name of telus mobility. know how i stopped em? u need to KNOW your current credit score first off and ALL details. heres how; CALL THE CREDIT BUREAU!!! give them your info and report the collection as a DISPUTE. it will then be recorded. and forwarded to ANYONE managing an acct with your name n credit on it. after this i waited a few days for the lag to catch up and i then called up these [***] to talk about the debt and told them they were out of their collective minds(no pun intended) and that id sue for harassment if the calls continued. i told them im making a low ball offer to "settle in full" and after they decline, you tell them your taking them to court over this angrily and hang up. NO CALLS SINCE!!! it worked for me GIVE IT A TRY!!!!
- marlene opitzI am in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and have been getting these calls for months now (all recorded messageA) looking for my nephew. Today the call had a real live person - I told them I had contacted my nephew and he had stated that he knew of no reason why a collection agency would be looking for him. They left a number and said he should call. When I did a reverse directory lookup I found that site so now know that this is a scam.
