I received a call from 1-855-824-0653  at exactly 5:34 PM in Toronto claiming to be

Action Collections & Receivables Management

These people used the following phone number just a few weeks ago:

The call that I reported above, came to me today March 22, 2013 at 5.34 PM.

It is 1-855-824-0653

I do not owe anyone either person or businesses any monies. I believe this is just harassment. There was no live person. It was play back of recorded message.

I am fed up with these bogus calls, the government better step in and fix this problem before others like me who are fed up take action on action collection directly, i am a passive person i also have lots of patience but these clown are getting on my nerves, a little hint to those of you who haven't gotten a call from a live person yet when if you are chris kenwell or another one of there bogus names they use don't give them your name because they record it and the calls will double but this time they ask for you personally. These scumbags are costing good peoples lives and there scare tactics are illegal, So just tell them to pissoff.

I think at some point in time, the government will have to seriously address these issues. There is not an Americn home tht is not affected by some type of Telephone harassment and for many,  the results are horrific.  I keep hoping that the Government and utilities are working together on this and a positive solution will be forthcoming.  Thank you for your post.

The message this company leaves is that I owe money. My phone is new and I have no idea how they would get this number, unless it was from a past user. I did try to call them back and just got a recorded message with no way of contacting a person.

My 12 Yr old son keeps receiving messages on his cell phone for him to call them back. He has only had his cell for a few months, but he has been receiving calls from this "CRM" company every day! It is ridiculous! We live in Alberta , so it sounds like they are trying to scam across north America. I tried calling back and got a recording. I wish somebody could stop these [***]!

This is Actions Collections. I've had my current cell phone number since Sept. 2011. They call me looking for some one else and I tell them they have the wrong number. They tell me that the number will be removed and almost 90 days later to the day they call again. Very annoying and I have to pay for these calls. When I try to complain about it they hang up. I pity these low lifes that have to make minimum wage to collect on other people's misfortune. What kinda scumbag do you have to be to take a job like that?

I've been receiving calls from this organization (Action Collections and Receivables Management) for months now. In my case, they are working on behalf of Money Mart, where a friend used my number as an alternate contact. They constantly harass me looking for a person other than myself that I am no longer in contact with and have used the following #'s for the same alleged collection service.

I just received a call from 1 855-824-0653 there was not live person just a recording stating that I call them back.

This number or company is hitting Canada as well. Same complaints as above. Supposedly we have a no call system that block our numbers from companies like these harassing us from the US and Canada.......  There is no caller id and does not leave messages.
I put this number in Google search engine and it brought me to several sites with the same issues.

I get calls from them everyday saying I owe money mart money. I have never taking out a payday loan as I have been a stay at home mom since 2005. I ask them to send me a statement on the account so I can go to money mart myself and they won't. Given them my address and email everyday for a month and still have not received anything. I think it is a scam and I refuse to pay them any money. Hard to get a payday loan when you have no source of income!

If they call back, dispute their claim and tell them to validate the Original debt in writing as well as their legal right to claim and collect in your state.
Do not ask for any email as it is not acceptable evidence. It must be validated in writing and sent via usps. If they refuse, tell them that they are violating the laws of the FDCPA and you refuse to discuss any alleged debt over the phone unless that alleged debt is validated.  That will get rid of them.  By law they must validate in writing (Not email or fax) within 5 days of your request.  If they refuse, there is no debt or legal right to collect.

Just got another call from that same number yesterday they keep calling my Cell

They called again but this time there was a person on the other end and they left a reference number. I am not calling them back

I installed an app on my android phone called Call Control that will answer and immediately hang up on these types of calls. Some deadbeat had my phone number once upon a time, I think, and I get a call from one or another agency every couple of days.  This has been ongoing for the past 6 months. I've spoken with at least 6 different agents and have filled in the web forms of the agency web sites several times.  I don't know how to make them stop.  They don't understand the idea of "wrong number".  The app has been awesome.

I have my number since January 2006. One summer 3 years ago I've received my first message from 855-824-0653 looking for somebody else. I am receiving the same message few times a month every month. This past week I am receiving it every day. When I pick up, the same recorded message play: Action Collections and Receivables Management, reference 698082 for Jason Sue.
