Received 3 calls from a blocked number and Josh Marshall with Legal Support Service stating he had failed to deliver documents. I have no idea what he is talking about and neither does he. He said to call 1-855-833-0513 to talk to the person trying to serve court papers. Total scam!

I received a phone call on my answering machine from 323-300-8853 and my daughter received one from 855-833-0513 stating I needed to call them back to let them know whether I would be home or not Friday to receive a package. They said they had tried on numerous accounts to get in touch with my husband...but failed to reach him and now they were attempting to serve me with the necessary papers for a docket# and a reference #. They even stated my physical address....I do not have any legal action being taken against me for any reason. I know there would have been papers served before...I am debt free...This is a scam. When I looked the number up it said US Telepacific Corp. CA.

I received a similar call on my cell (went to voicemail due to its having "Private Number" identification - I never answer these).
She identified herself as Tiffany Lane and had a very serious, professional sounding voice but carefully avoided giving out a company name and I was instructed to call : 855-833-0513
It threatened legal action and, they were logging the call as evidence I had been contacted, blah blah blah.
She referenced a number: 170-299

The VM was addressed to a "David Banella" (David *something* anyway)  and the name "David" was referenced over and over . I have a brother named David, but until I listened to the message a 2nd and 3rd time didn't realize they were clearly referring to someone else, if anyone at all. I know no one named Banella and our name doesn't resemble that at all.

So, I Googled the phone number the scammers supplied and here I am.

I received a call from a PRIVATE # on 2/16/2016 at 11:40pm and again on 3/29/2016 at 10:16am. I did not answer the calls. Yesterday they left a voice mail about a case and that I needed to call them. I called back 855-833-0513 and gave them case #172792-0, they put me through to Chris Reily and said that I was being sued civil and as a misdemeanor offense lawsuit with for $5,954.21. I said that the address they mentioned, I have not been there for almost 3 years and that there is no way I could be served any papers since I don’t live there anymore. He then asked me if the last 4 of my were correct, I said yes. I said that I was at work and needed to get back to my desk. I asked if he could please send me an email and he said yes. I gave him my email (junk stuff kind of email) and I received an email today 3/30/2016 at 12:34pm with a Letter of Approval stating that I should pay them $2,422.19.

The letter that they emailed to me doesn’t even have my name on it.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

Debt Collector. Pretending to be checking on a reference.

I received a call from this number today, same as the above comments, left a message stating I need to call 855-809-3166 give the file number and if I don't contact them within 24 hours they will file something regarding a compliant against me. Just said contact the firm, no name of a firm. I believe to be a scam, attorneys typically send letters that are usually certified, I do not owe anybody any money, I have frozen my credit and have no credit cards or loans so I doubt this is legitimate. Not going to return their call.
