Telus Home Security - calling about a security event

Called at 2 am

Called at 4:30am to tell us our battery was low

Telus Home Security left voicemail message advising our home security battery was low. Legitimate caller however, we didn't receive their voicemail until our power had come back on as our Telus landline doesn't work when we have no electricity in our home. In all fairness, they did call our mobile phone to advise our battery was low but that call was received after our power had already been down for 2.5 hours (10 hours total without power due to windstorm). All is good now and security system is working again!

“hello this is security military calling for (our name) residence please give us a call on 1 855 838 2118…”

I have received two texts about some trouble coming in from my alarm system and asking me to give them a call at 1-855-838-2118.

this is a legit Telus security number. You can call it back and Telus will answer - pretty quickly for me actually! Like others, Telus felt it was necessary to call me, my spouse and each of my adult children at 3AM to say that the main keypad had lost power (yes it had been accidentally unplugged).
