- CountrygirlConstant ROBOCALL!
- Caller: Syn Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- HelpingOthers| 2 repliesThis is a robocall, even though it may sound like it's from a bank or company with which you do business. Answer the phone or they will consistently call you multiple times each day. When you answer the phone - be aggressive. Ask them what account they are calling about. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION such as birthdays or social security numbers. Tell them that they should have that information on file -- after all, they called you. When I asked them to provide information about the account and pushed them for more details about exactly what was owed, they told me the account would be taken care of and hung up the phone. Watch out for these predators and be prepared. Push back. Don't let them get away with this crap.

- Annoyed| 3 repliesThis number calls every single day and is a robocaller. I have blocked the number but sadly they are still able to leave a voicemail. I don't have any accounts with them and I suspect they are not the real Synchrony, but a scam to get you to call them back. They are horrible! Wish someone could catch them and stop them!
- Caller: Synchrony

- AJThey call everyday and leave a voicemail. They are blocked but still leave voicemails. They mention something about a loan which, of course, is nonsense. I really wish these scammers would get a real job.

- Robert replies to HelpingOthers| 1 replyThank you for your post truly helpful I will answer the phone next time and pressure them as they try to pressure me to answer my damn phone
- BigA replies to RobertYeah, that is pretty lousy advice, but you do what you think is best. Of course if you are behind in your payments then I suspect that they will elevate it or turn you over to a debt collector.
- Irritated non-client| 1 replycalling my phone number for a debt to be collected on old number owner I am not this person! I have blocked the number and it still gets around ringing and leaves voicemails sometimes 5 6 times a day for a person not at this number. Blocked and blow up my inbox for no reason.
- Caller: Synchronicity Bank debt collector
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to Irritated non-clientBlocking conveys no message. However telling them directly that they are not calling the right number would. Be best to send it via certified, return receipt mail.
- Annoyed non-customer myself replies to Annoyed| 2 repliesI do not have business with these people and somehow they worked around my block and although the phone doesn't ring it goes straight to voicemail filling up my inbox.
- BigA replies to Annoyed non-customer myselfRingless voicemail. Lots of information about it on this site in the forum threads. You can use the searchbox.
- Nimrod replies to Annoyed non-customer myselfWhile this could be a case of "Ringless" voicemail, it could be just that blocking a number usually only keeps your phone from ringing, but the call is still treated as just another call that is not answered and it gets transferred to voicemail after whatever selected limit of rings is reached (four seems to be a common default number of rings). You could increase the number of rings that have to occur before voicemail kicks in and see if they give up on the calls before they can leave a message (you will have to tell any friends or family members that tend to call you to expect to stay on the line a little longer to leave you a message).
Some phone service providers provide an option to block selected numbers and only play them a message that you are not accepting calls (usually there is only a limited amount of numbers you can list without paying a service fee for more capacity) instead of transferring the call to voicemail. - AnnoyedKeeps calling me around the same time each day I didnt answere till today and they answered and sent me to a representative I told them I wanted my number off there system. They sent me to anouther person and I told he I wanted my number off. When I just kept repeating that and saying that and not giving them any information they hung up on me and I blocked them
