- PISSD WOMAN| 6 repliesWeinburge, Grace & Associates keep calling my phone saying my son owes money for a check he cashed a few years ago for $400.00. I had my son call them back & he was freaking out, they said they were getting ready to put out a warrant for his arrest if he didn't send $150.00. Now why would they settle for $150. if he owes $400.? My son told them he would send a check on July 1st, 2011 for $150. They then insisted that he get them somebody's debit card # to guarantee the pmt.! I called them back & told them they nor anyone else is getting my f---g debit card #. He got really pissed off and said well your son can just go to jail!!! This guy claimed his name is "Matt Clifton" now, Ive have been in telephone sales for years this guy sucks at his job!! You didnt fool me mthr fkr!!!!!!!

- Former Court Employee replies to PISSD WOMAN| 1 replyThe thing that gets me is when DEBTORS argue and slander Collection Agencies' for just doing their jobs but can't even spell correctly. If you would just pay back your loans then maybe the courts wouldn't be overloaded with such ridiculous cases. Believe me a small loan can really get serious if Collection Agencies' choose to pursue them. Instead of wasting your time posting these outlandish and abusive messages against these Collection Agencies, maybe you should be figuring out how to get your debt paid. If someone owed you money wouldn't you want to get it back????? Duh, think about it.....good luck to you if this agency wants to file charges against your son!!!!! I could write a book on how many debtor's came through my court because they thought they could just blow off the Collection Agencies' calling them........
- juskishi| 9 repliesi'd like to see if any of you claiming this business to be legit and not a scam to post an office location for them (NOT a PO Box). this company is blatantly violating FDCPA collection laws. yes people should pay their bills but the people collecting should also be professional especially since many collectors (in my experience) are low life losers who don't pay their own bills because they have no qualifications or skills to get them a better paying job but use their own pathetic life as motivation to take it out on the people they're calling. many of whom are just burdened with losing their job, medical bills, etc and never intended to be in this position. oh and for all you claiming that people can get in serious trouble and even go to jail....get an f'n life. you care either lying or just completely ignorant of the law. it is a civil, not criminal matter. claiming someone will go to jail is a violation of the FDCPA and anyone who's been told that should contact an attorney who handles collection violations cases. and if you do get sued by a collection agency, show up and force them to provide evidence that you owe the debt and they are entitled to collect it. do NOT let them get a default judgment by not showing up to court. even if the do, the most they can do is have the court garnish your wages but NOT jail time. don't let these low life pieces of filth scare you. they use these tactics specifically to scare people into making payments in many cases, for more than what they actually owe. always contact an attorney if you feel you're being harassed by debt collectors. in most cases, there's a collection violation somewhere (they train their collectors to commit them) and you can end up SUING THEM and getting compensation or having the debt eliminated (as well as your attorney's fees paid).

- Lmfao replies to juskishi| 7 repliesWow Ur such a misleading person a firm with an attorney can only say legal action is being takin if they are prepared to follow through with there claim and legitamit firms u have to be skilled in what u do and u sound like a big scum bag that doesn't pay his bills so mislead people as much as u want but if an agency or firm is gnna take legal action it dnt matter if the dbtr thinks there legit or not it's not gnna stop court proceedings so please before u run Ur mouth check the facts :)
- GiG replies to LmfaoShut up and go away!
- juskishi replies to Lmfaoum, yeah, you're really cool. why don't you go back to your paint by colors book and leave this discussion to the adults.
actually, yes, a collector can state they have intent to sue only if they actually intend to do so, which most never do. it's often a tactic used simply to scare someone into making a payment. if the collector continues to make the same threat month after month it's easily argued that the threat is idle and is nothing more than an intimidation tactic therefore, you can bring a fdcpa claim against them. threats of jail time are clearly a violation as this is a civil matter so any time they claim someone will be arrested is a flat out lie and again, a violation of collection laws.
not only do i pay my bills but i guarantee my credit is better than yours. oh, and where's the physical address i asked about for this "legitimate company"? - juskishi replies to Lmfao| 3 repliesoh and btw, you should get YOUR facts straight. nowhere did i say an attorney cannot claim legal action will be taken. i specifically referred to them claiming someone will go to jail. get a clue and actually read what is posted before you shout your uneducated mouth off. btw, have you ever heard of punctuation? you should try using it some time....
- Haha replies to juskishi| 2 repliesUr so gay u sound so stupid u prolly live in a scumbag trailer park with Ur parents
- Anonymous replies to juskishiI understand I defaulted on a loan, but these people had members from their office calling around looking for me. Not a problem, except they impersonated officers. When rep actually said she was a police officer, another said Detective. When I questioned it I was hung up on. Ya, real professional! I thought impersonating officers is against the law too. So whose the true criminal here?
- Anonymous| 1 replyThese people at this "office" are impersonating law officers! Something should be done about it!

- anonymous replies to Bustednot sure why they are calling my number looking for someone who is no one I know and leaving incriminating information on a voice mail which includes the persons name, their social security number as well as the fact that the so called person they are looking for is going to be faced with being served a supbeona and has commited fraud. I know for a fact that the information they left on voice mail could cause them to be slapped with a law suit. Per the fair debt collection act, it is not only against the law to leave a message on a voice mail with this much personal information, but it is also against the law to provide personal information about someone without it actually being this person. I wish I knew the person they were after, I would be providing them with the voice mail I have, concerning their confidential information.

- a real court officer responds.. replies to Former Court EmployeeI would love to know what court you worked for.....there is no debtors prison, nor can criminal charges be filed against someone for failure to pay a debt (including payday loans). Shapiro and Price (ooops) I mean Weinberg is not a law firm, its a doug Mackinnon sweat shop. so therefore it would amaze me to see that they actually sued someone.....very interesting
