They called my cell and when I didn't answer they called back immediately.  I blocked them. I do not answer calls from unknown numbers or 8**-xxx-xxxx numbers.

Received a call from this number, beware it's a scam!

They called and left a threatening message about being served papers. When I called back, they refuse to give a company name and hung up on me.

Called and left a voice massage wanting to know where I am and said I need to call back or there going to serve me papers this is a scam

I got a call from this number, along with two of my minor children!!!!  When I called them back they said I had a payday loan from 2010!!!  I get hand written checks, I can't even take out payday loans, and have never taken one out!  They said I owed $420 and that I was being sued for defrauding a financial institution.  I asked for documentation and they said they can't send anything, they are "only" a filing company!   When I tried to tell her not to call my minor children again, as it is also against the law to call people and leave messages like they did, she got NASTY and told her to fight it out in court!  HAHAHAHA!!!!   I just bought a house, don't you think the mortgage company may have noticed a loan with a creditor about to sue me?  SCAM!

Just got a vm from this number saying there was a formal complaint against me, first i heard and they said the next step was filling papera with the local court sounds fishy

I just got the exact same message left on my phone.

I also got a call saying there was a formal complaint against me. Did anyone know my whereabouts?  The next step was to file with the county courthouse. Sounds like a scam..

These people are scammers. If they call you, or you call them tell them THE are on a recorded line with your attorney. It's refund season and the devil is at work. If there was a complaint against from any company, the company would contact you. Block them!!!

This number left a message trying to sound very threatening, did not state who they were, what the reason for the cal was or anything just that  the was a complaint against me and that the next step was to file with my county - good luck with that

Same! Left me this message yesterday and then they called me again today. No message! Saying the same things...I've been getting these calls for 5 years and nobody ever came. They scared me years ago and I actually lost 1500.00 cause I was scared! I hate that they have my info! Ugh!

Total scam.  If there were some sort of legal complaint filed against someone, they'd know about it from a letter from the attorney for the other side.  Also, they'd be served with process by a person authorized under the laws of the locality to actually serve process.  A person would NOT first hear bout a legal complaint filed anywhere from a debt collector who cold calls and starts asking for money and makes useless threats.  Ignore these callers and block their calls.

ID themselves as "Coastal".  Common debt scammers.  No one knows precisely where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers.

"Coastal" scam. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group.  Do not return the call and do not give them any information.

My husband and I both received calls today. First she said it was for writing a bad check then she said it was for a loan we didn't repay. And if I didn't pay $350 first installment we would be taken to court. I told them then mail me paperwork. Total scam she got extremely hostile when I wouldn't give her anything. I used profanity told her I was tracing her location through my cell and police were on their way. She hung up real quick.

They called me and left a message and advised they were going to take me to court, I called but didn't get an answer, so I googled the phone and saw all the other people with the same situation.  Happy that I did.

Scam artists saying i owe money or go to court. Go ahead i am the court!! I have all the judges in my pocket i control the courts !!

They called me and told me the exact same thing. She got angry with me when I started questioning her. When I asked where they are located, she said she couldn't reveal her location due to threats. What bothered me was the information she had about me.

I received a call from 855 857 1909 telling me they were calling about "filing a formal complaint" against my wife and that if they did not get a call back they will proceed to file papers with the county court.

I received a call from these people and was told the same thing, so as I looked up the number to see what it was associated with and saw all these other encounters from other people I felt inclined to call back and ask who they were, the first time I called a lady answered, I asked who this company was and was hung up on, so I called back and was immediately hung up on again. So I called back and spoke with a male, he told me this was a company that collects debts blah blah blah, so I asked why I was hung up on and he told me maybe it was because I was irate, I had to laugh because I was never given a chance to be. But I did get irate with him. If you see these numbers do not answer. It is def a SCAM!!!!!

I started receiving calls around this time last year. He told me he needed me to pay right then. When I told him i needed to consult with my attorney he told me if I hung up and didn't pay then they would file papers with the local court. I told them to go right ahead. Needless to say didn't here from them again until a couple of days ago- go figure it's income tax time! This is a total scam! PLEASE BEWARE! DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!!!!!!
