Group called claiming to be Comcast xfinity.

they say comcast, but they are not. they offer a good promotions and will ask you to pay money. i lost $ 350 :(

Yup, gotta call on my cell phn... about a year ago pushing Green Dot cards offer if I paid my Comcast bill up front for 6 months..... today just gotta another call pushing American Express - Serve cards ... same deal they would send me a card I would load $450.00 (6 months upfront - to lock in $79.99 cable bill rate) but first they want social security # and my DOB. in order to send me the card ..... yeah right .....

100% scam ....................... hang up / block the number.

This number called my cell at 3:15 today offering me a promo for $79.99/mo.  I could have it for two years if I prepaid
on a credit card for 6 months. (RED FLAG) I asked, why 6 months and not monthly? He said "mam, its a promotional offer and its the only way you can get the promotion."  Then he proceeded to verify my name, address, and told me what I was currently paying for cable, which made it seem more real.  I told him I'd call him back, because I wanted to double check with Comcast first to make sure it was a legitimate offer.  He said he was going to schedule a call back for 4:00.  Comcast confirmed that it was a bogus call and reported it to a supervisor and the man never called back.
If you call this number, it sounds like a legitimate Comcast number.  They have the same voice, music, dial options...  Scary stuff.  These people sick.

Called my cell claiming to be from Xfiniti offering a promotional offer of $34.99/month if I pay a year in advance.  The caller claimed he could upgrade my speed to 105Mb/s.  I told him I already have that speed to which he replied, "Yes, but you're paying more than $45.00/month."  I'm not.  It's fairly easy to see this is a scam.  I blocked the number.

Call the FTC and file a complaint! I have already filed one, but they need to receive many before investigating.

Calling person claiming to be Comcast Xfinity. I asked them to send official e-Mail; but I didn't receive any mail. I inquired from Comcast Xfinity corporate office about the call; they told me it is a fraudulent call.

Got a call today.  Got an email as well.  It was sitting in the spam folder.  The email came from xfinity.comcast.net.  On the call the person calling had all my info including when I signed up for service with Comcast, the service I had etc. They want me to pay one year's service upfront to get 105mps service with no fair usage policy.  Price - $34.99/month.  Asked me to call back the 855 number in this post.  Haven't called Comcast yet but looks like a scam hence Googled and found this.

Yep, I've gotten two calls from them. They are trying to push deals. I think Comcast has leaked my info bc I always shred my docs.

Offered me a comcast internet connection for a lower proce.
THey said it will be no contract but I will have to pre-pay for one year.

The guy told me he only calls me because I have a beautiful voice and he wants to hear it. I told him he's [***] people over and I hung up. Don't trust anything from this number!!

Yes same as above. called xfinity and got 3 months of HBO free thanks.  Did not sign up for this "deal" its a scam not sure where the government and credit card companies are on this,  probably in on it.
He offered 70 a month for 6 months if I load an AmEx prepaid card with 420.00 ... then he wanted my personal info.

offered the 420 for 6 months. Now he did say he would give me starz until I paid. I currently have access to stars and all the premium networks (maybe its just a free trial from comcast going on that I was unaware of). I assumed it was a scam at first and kept looking online. Now I found this site to confirm. Also they call too much wanting me to load the card, and even during business hours the people calling have horrible english skills and have no clue what they are saying. Also they have no clue what time of day it is when they call.

The biggest redflag is when they send you the Amex card it has no language or literature about comcast and the cross promo deal it supposedly representing. I just wish I did not give them my SSN. [***]

Just got the call I told the guy to call me back so I can check it out online said he will email me he called me back 3 times already I'm glad I did not go through with it... i just dont answer my phone when i see the number

Your right I got burnt. I had my kids screaming at me was stressed when I took the call, sound like  good deal and was legit gave blurted out my ssn and realized I screwed up. damage was done.  I told them I call back and checked with cmcast and it was a scam. Had to put a credit freeze on all credit bureaus alerted banks and credit card company "Boy I am a dork!!!1"
They even sent me a American Express card and followed up with a phone call when was I going to deposit $480 on it. I told them I talked to Comcast and they have not called back. Found out the numbers are diverted to India..

sigh....what if i gave the info....what they can do .... i'm so stupid....because i'm dealing with comcast recently so i just thought that was why they called right now...

TINA.....^^^^^^^^^^    If you have given your personal info like Social Security then call your township police or local and make an report and then they will help you to freeze your Social Security for 7yr or something...freezing time varies on States.
Good Luck...just make an report and they will help you for sure...
