Calls and claims that there are allegations and a claim against me. Says if I don't contact them he "Fred Mills" is coming down to deliver paperwork to my home and place of employment. Made several calls to my home, employer,and family members. Told employer they were coming no one showed up.

i received the same message...called my employer and asked for supervisor....I took the call....it was amazing how they work...they harass people and even attempted to harass my employer....I told them to refrain from discussing Ms.  Last names information with anyone other than herself....took the info and told them not to bring that stuff to our business...this was a young lady

So is this a scam had the same phone call today?

these are debt collectors...scum of the earth ......always say coming down to deliver paperwork to my home and place of employment....no one ever shows up

I got a message claiming some allegations.. Anyway it was for someone who has same maiden name. The call was threatening... Jerks. I called back telling them I'm not who you are looking for. Who is D.O.R. ? I asked...'We are a firm. Look I made a note and will have you removed'... I said  'how did my number pop up on database?' Did a background check and linked you together.

i got a call saying i owed money from some payday loan, yet they can't exactly say which company the loan is from.

THIS PERSON CLAIMS TO BE AN INVESTIGATOR CALLING MY HOME AND WORK ABOUT DELIVERING PAPER WORK TO ME HARRASING ME ALL DAY POLICE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO THESE PEOPLE UNLESS U GET A LAWYER

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

OK so this lady called and left a message about a claim and allegations against me. I'm not taking for this because its definitely a scam. How many times is this lady going to call before she supposedly shows up to serve me with these supposed papers re this supposed claim against me??

Just called my cell phone moments ago claiming to be with AT&T Direct TV

Same as last person, left a voicemail:  "Hi there I'm calling you from AT&T DIRECTV to let you know that your existing account is qualified for 50% off in order to avail the discount kindly call us back at 855-860-0761 from 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific standard time thank you and have a great day".  Fishing at a minimum as I don't have DirecTV and haven't in about ten years.
