It's from a company that matches you with potential colleges.

A college matching service. Apparently they got my number off of a website that I was using to try to find grants and scholarships, in spite of the fact that I already told them on the websites that I already know which college I am going to.

They just called me for the fourth or fifth time (twice today) after I already told them no, I wasn't interested in any information about colleges because I am already registered. Next time, I am getting mean.

Started getting these calls too, no idea who they're coming from.

This number called again. I answered and told them not to call this number again.  Soon as I hung up 8557472564 called. Told them the same.  Wonder if that'll work.

Dec 7, 2011.  Just received call from this number on my 10 year old son's phone.  I called the number back.  Put on hold with message how valuable my call was and someone would be with me as soon as possible.  On hold for 5 minutes then a message came on about disconnecting.  Never talked to anyone.  Never heard who it was.  This is definately not on the up and up as far as calls are concerned.  It is just wasting your minutes.  It is fake whatever it is.  When you hold for 5 minutes and then get a message disconnecting you, you know that this is not legal.  Put it on your blocked calls list.

You can't stop them from calling no matter what you do and what do not call list you are on ---- good luck they have been calling me for 6 months now

A simple way to get people to stop calling is to be polite as ask to be put on the do not call list. The last thing you wanna do it [***] someone that has all your information.

Most telemarketers have automatic dialers so the phone number they use is shared with different companies. Who knows who's calling you. I've had the same number calling from 2 different pharmacies for 3 years after I've told them many times they have the wrong number.

So much for the Do Not Call registry.  Robo dialing now rules the phone lines.  Ugh!

I don' know who it is, but they were very pleasant.  Even apologized for troubling me.  They called my home/office line and asked for my former name.  Since I've had my new name for years, I opted to play stupid.  Apologized a 2nd time.
