apparently a scam artist figured out I had a hospital bill and wanted my debit card or credit card information to pay it. It is a bill that was already paid in full on time. I even gave her the check number of the check they cashed. She said there was no record of payment and wanted me to pay in full at that moment. I hung up on her

Scam!  Called for my daughter this morning.  I questioned the call since my daughter has never been seen at this hospital and told the "debt collector" that I believed this to be a scam.  She replied in a surprised voice "Oh, really?"  She advised my daughter could call the main number and speak to them and gave me a number (which was not the correct number).  My daughter called the correct number and was told they have no record of her (obviously).

Called this am stated that i received service from this hospital in oct. And still owed 500.00dollars  .  Also that i agreed to pay in monthly installments and since i didn't i needed to pay in full at this time.  Well our town was hit by hurricane in oct.  And was down for several months after.  On top of the fact that i was never in hospital or er at this time or any prior to

This debt collector continues to call despite me advising them to cease and desist.

Amazingly no one has really posted the name of this "debt collector".  I doubt that it is the hospital calling according to the other posts so I don't even know why that hospital's name was posted.

Keeps calling. Over and over again.  Number comes up on caller ID as Putnam General. I looked up that name and it goes to a hospital I have never been to or even live near. I do not answer.  If I do, and I believe it to be a scam,  I will post back on here. Truly think it's a scam. Be wary and warned and careful.

Calls and texts over and over again. States are MRS debt collector.  I'm not behind on anything
