I was so excited when I got a voice message from Kevin asking me to return his call at 855-866-5768.  I called the number that showed up on my caller ID (773-799-9163). Of course Kevin was not available-- the person that answered said he was a recruiter and that he would get back to me. It's hard enough looking for a job, but it's even harder trying not to be taken advantage of by scams and people who deliberately misrepresent who they are. Beware!

Thanks for the info.  Kevin called me today after I posted my resume on monster and careerbuilder last week.  I couldn't understand him either and thought it was "work, save a tire"  Glad to know it is a scam so I don't waste my time calling back.

Got a call and message from "Kevin" with work saver tire. Never heard of them, nor applied to a tire company. Called from: 864-932-4109 and left same message everybody got to return his call at 855-866-5768. Thanks for the info everybody! Did a white page reverse look up and says the 864 number is a cell phone in Anderson, SC area. No I did not call back

I just received the same call from Kevin.  Like a fool I returned the call and left a message asking them to call me again.  ha ha... i did that before reading this email string.  Fortunately I do have an "ignore" button on my cell.  Thanks for the heads up.  BTW, what a stupid company name.  I should have known better...

I got the same message as many people before me, Kevin from Work Saver Tire with questions about my resume. I did not call back thank you in part to all messages posted. Always search for the company before calling any job recruiters, unless you are working with someone locally looking for a job.

-also got a call from kevin number came up at 773-799-9163 had questions on my resume. people interested in you for a possible interview wont leave a message with questions regarding your resume there usually calling to set up an interview or they wouldnt waist there time calling , i just blocked the number

My biggest complaint for Monster and for Carreer Builder is that they have become marketing tools for company who want to solicate sales people. there is nothing in my resume that would indicate i would be interested in a sales job. i get a few calls a week and and about 10-12 emails a week advising of great opportunitys selling life insurance or you name it

Today I got one from "Kevin" of "WorkSaver Tire" with 773-799-9163 on the caller id. Message said he had a question about my resume, which was posted a few days ago at Careerbuilder, so I am headed over there to complain too.

I also got one of these calls, made no sense why a tire company would be calling me, guy left the name Kevin and gave the 855# while callerID said 773-799-9163.  I was afraid it was one of those scams with some overseas number where they charge thousands of dollars for one minute and then you have a hard time getting it off your cell phone bill. IT SUCKS TO BE LOOKING FOR A JOB, AND I HOPE THESE SCAMMERS GET WHAT THEY DESERVE.

As soon as I heard 855 area code, I immediately went to internet and found all your posts about. It's the same person who called me named "Kevin." Have you contacted CareerBuilder about this?

Yesterday I received a call from Kevin with Work, Save, Retire...phone 855-866-5768.
Had another vmail today from him & when I called back, I spoke to Alan.  Alan said they do the same thing & proceeded to give me the "hook" as I've read in several postings here.

- free resume software
- free job search software
- according to Alan, 80% of jobs are NOT posted on normal job boards(like Monster & Careerbuilder) but ARE posted on company websites.  Their software accesses thousands of companies in your area which saves you lots of time scouring the web for opportunities.
- 2 step process with the first being a phone call from a recruiter to discuss opportunities they have found for me, then a one time, face to face meeting with their financial consultant.  I was told Jim Roller(not sure of spelling) would be in my area next week.
- was ask similar questions about salary expectations & 401k value.  plus was ask if in my next job I would be interested in having 401k and benefits....hmmmm, ya think?!

first instinct was too-good-to-be-true!!  After reading all these posts, I have to agree.
When I searched for the company, I found several different websites for work,save,retire which all had the same basic message but no other information.  Seems odd that a company would have so many different websites!

Have received 2 voice mail messages from Kevin in past 23 hours...same as everyone else.  He saw my resume and had some questions for me.  Unable to understand the company name...sounded like 'Work Saver Tire'.  He was calling from a landline in Collin County...Plano, Allen, Frisco area of TX, per caller ID: 972-649-0677.  He asked me to call 855-866-5768.  I won't be calling him....thanks for the info.

Got a call this morning from some guy said he was from Work, Save and Retire.  The number on my screen was 773-799-9163.  In the middle of his schpiel, I stopped him and said:  "if this is going to cost me one penny, aside from my cell minutes, you are wasting your time".  He said, no it was all paid for by a government fund.  I said "go ahead, then."  He said he saw my resume on a webpage and wanted to know if I was still looking for work.  I said I was freelancing (true) and whatever he had better be a great job with fantastic benefits and better pay.  He abruptly said:  "I don't think this is going to be a fit."  Before he got the last word out I said:  "you are right" and immediately hung up.

1.  I thought it was one of those self-serving recruiters that set some crazy bar everyone one jump over before they will budge a finger - and even then, they are not very nice (99.9% of them:  this mean YOU if you are a recruiter).  So, I was just taking a swipe for all the hapless unemployed that have had ridiculousness head-hunters having others jump through hoops they could never accomplish.

2.  Then, on second thought, I felt I should check the number and voila!  He is twice the idiot - an unemployed, scamming, headhunter.

This one is for all you unemployed people out there who feel put upon by 25 year old headhunters just in it for the money:  "one idiot got back-handed by phone today!"

Let me assure all here that this company is, in fact, a SCAM. They are NOT recruiters!

Here is the deal: These folks use their "career services" as a front in order to get a financial product salesperson in their "clients" front door to pitch them various annuity plans.  In order to access their "career tools", you must agree to this meeting.

What does a job seeker get in return?: A thirty minute webinar,  access to a very limited board of job postings, and some additional tools and "services" that are very generic and generally available elsewhere. One month later, and after my annuity sales meeting, I am still waiting for a phone call and my personalized job referrals. I won't hold my breath.

This outfit is a joke that takes advantage of today's lousy employment environment to sell their products. This is a sales company NOT a career service. Don't waste your time with Heather and her crew.

I will be rolling-over my wife's 401K into an IRA next month, probably into an indexed annuity, and I can assure you that this $140K will not go into one of this company's products.

I will be filing a complaint with the BBB in the morning.

I picked up and put right on mute as this will sometimes trick automated callers to think a number is bad.  No one on line so must have worked.

Text message that there is problem with my cr dit card account. Did not say WHAT credit card.
