Asked for my partner by name. Purporting to be calling from Reliance Holmes Heating (Ottawa unit (franchise?) of Reliance Home Comfort) wanting to sell us a "home comfort protection plan".
I could hear call center noise in the background and caller had a thick accent - I suspect Indian.

IF someone at Reliance happens to see this, listen up! Put some local people to work instead of outsourcing! At least use callers who are fluent and comprehensible in English (or French as the case may be)  ...You have no chance in h* of a sale if we can't understand many of the words the person is saying!

Seems like they're calling Reliance clients to upsell a natural gas pricing contract - BUYER BEWARE not to get locked into terms you don't want. We have Reliance only for our water heater rental; enough of a gouging right there...

HINT: When they ask to confirm that you have a gas furnace, tell them you use electric or that you rent the home so heat is not your reponsability. They will cut the call short (and probably take you off that list)
