Just received a call from "Melissa" Agent Number 1104 regarding my student loans. The number showed up on my phone as 470-646-7913 but was told to call 855-873-5677 and use reference number 27785. No company was given and no account number. Felt like it was spam especially now seeing others have the same reference number

Yep, just got the same call with the exact same wording. Usually these calls are automated, so the fact that it sounded like a real person was very slick. I could imagine someone not as on alert for scammers to fall for this. If it was real, they would always say the company name. Don't fall for it!

So they called me and i told them my name. He said he worked with the dept of education. he asked me how much i owed, so i said 90k in student loans. he was like good. so he said all the things ive heard before i was enrolled in a program like this before and they did help me with my credit. But what got me is he asked for $100.00 to start my case. Which they hadnt done in the past. so after that i was like ummmmm no.
