Left a message claiming to be from Verizon and stated my contract would be expiring in a few days. "Amanda" asked me to call her back at 855-878-1492 ext. 6979. SCAM ALERT!

I've been getting this calls for several weeks from different reps, most recently Amanda and Tyler saying they are calling "on behalf of Verizon" and my bundle for phone and internet service is about to expire and in order to avoid a 25% rate increase I need to call them to get it renewed.  I ignore every call that comes in from this number, my plan isn't about to expire!

Left message that my Business Verizon phone and fios bundle account was up for renewal and to call back to avoid a 25% rate increase Ben 855-878-1492 ext. 42.

Called even though the prior week I went online and chose which service I wanted to continue with.

It is a valid Verizon call, not a scam

This is a valid Verizon call. Call are generated a month ahead of time, this why you get calls. Call back and say u are renewed and they will stop calling.

Well I guess our bundle has been ready to expire for over a year then, because these calls have been coming in for as long as I can remember and guess what?  Our bundle hasn't expired, nor will it ever, because these calls are [***].  I highly doubt these people are actually from Verizon.

Most definitely not a scam I was able to get a discount on my bill each month. Also they send out a confirmation email stating what they are doing. The employee I spoke with was very helpful and reassured me that they are working with Verizon.

Got a call from this number saying my contract for the business telephone and internet had expired, so I called back.
I was suspicious, but the rep I talked to asked  if I was authorized and asked to access the account like customer service... Then they confirmed my account number and told me my current bill when I asked. They said I had been out of contract for the solutions bundle on the account and that I had no more discounts. So I renewed for another two years (the plan didn't change, I had all the same services.) They had a $10 credit available as well, so I was paying a bit less. It went into effect when they said it would, and my latest bill has reflected this change, and I got a Verizon notification email saying that I had the discount applied. the reason I stayed on the phone is because they didn't ask for any personal info like my account number or my credit card number.  Now I'm saving a bit on the bills for my store.
I would say if you're suspicious you could call Verizon customer service and ask them about renewing the account for your business.  They might be able to direct you to this call center.

"This is Katie from on Verizon" your bundle has expired"  Odd, we don't have Verizon. So I hung up.

you are full of BS. It is a third party solicitor looking to resell you Verizon services.

They call my personal phone about a business account that I do not have authority to renew. My home package is billed accordingly each and every month. If it were about to expire I would think I would receive something in writing or an email. Never leave a voicemail so it can't be that important. The one time I did speak to the person I asked is this actually Verizon and she got quiet. So. . .

10/11/18. I  just received a call from  a girl. She said my Verizon account expires so they are coming on the 18th to fixe it.
