Was told to call this number as ADR a mediation firm for Wells Fargo by a process server who called me on a restricted number and  told me he had papers to serve me on the next day between 3 and 5 pm, and I was to call this number if I wanted to know why. I called the number and the woman on the phone identified herself as Lauren Hayes and said she was a case manager for ADR, a mediation firm. She explained that her company was retained by Wells Fargo to collect $874.49 from me on an old checking account. She said if I didn't pay the $874.49 or set up a payment plan with her, then I would be served with a summons the next day and it would cost me triple that amount plus $1000 in court fees. I gave her my debit card number with a payment plan to pay the money off in 8 months because she had my old address that was on the account and the last four of my social security number. And, I did owe Wells Fargo from 10 years ago about $100. As soon as I hung up, I knew it was fishy. I did a search and found out that Wells Fargo had about 1000 scam pages because they had been hacked. I immediately called the bank and cancelled my debit card. The woman at my bank said this was a common scam, and that if they called back to tell them I had retained an attorney and that they would probably just hang up. She said banks would have sent something on paper, they would never call and ask for money.

It's a scam. I get the same call. I called the number and told them they are under investigation and they promptly hung up

I just received a call from this # but I did not answer. Carrie Davis informed me that she would be serving me  papers the next day at my home & place of work (case #432432627) and that I needed to call this # to find out why. I know I don't owe anything to anyone but to be sure I looked up the case # and my name thru my county. No records found. I looked up the phone # and found some info thru this site. Please be aware don't give personal info

Omg I received the same exact call. So I have been scammed. Luckily I didn’t give them any money today. But like Chris looks like I will be cancelling my debit card tonight. So glad I found this post. It’s amazing my call was the same exact call UNREAL.

Incoreect. Unless you gave them money or a form of payment, you have not in fact been scammed but instead the recipient of an intended scam.
If you didn't give them any money, why would you need to cancel your debit card?

Good that you didn't fall for this scam. Just FYI, a real process server would never call in advance because then you could simply avoid them. They would also not give you the option to pay your way out of being served. Block and ignore such calls.

Your statement "Luckily I didn't give them any money" leads one to believe you hadn't been scammed.

Same exact thing happened to me on Tuesday! They called from a blocked number and left a message that said they would be coming to my house or job on 5/30/18 between 3pm-5pm. They also left this number for me to call back and reschedule if I needed to. It sounded fishy to me so I ignored. They called back yesterday 10 mins before 3 and left a message saying that it was my final chance to take care of it or they would be at my house or job between 3-5. Well, needless to say they never showed up. I haven't heard from them today but when I do, I am going to have fun with them now that I found this post and know for sure that it's a scam. Thanks everyone for sharing. I really feel bad for the older people who will fall for this and really give them money.
