They called me, threatened that there is a civil lawsuit coming my way, and that i need to pay $1488.00 to them to ward it off. Such a scam....

They called me too, how did you confirm it was a scam? I am trying to verify so I do not worry about it.

Have you received anything in the mail regarding this supposed debt? If not, you have nothing to worry about. People are NEVER notified of supposed debts by legitimate debt collectors via a cold call! NOT EVER! When a legitimate debt is owed people are aware of it. Only junk debt buyers, frauds & scammers will resort to using cold calls. They can all be told to use the mail & none of them will. Ignore them!

I received calls from this # before, now I'm receiving TEXT messages saying they are delivering documents to me, with a date, hours and with a reference #.  Everything I'm looking up for this company is showing scams.  Of course the text doesn't give the company name.

They just called from another company. The person did not give a name. They said they were calling to redeliver documents and gave 18558812544 and a case #. Told me that they would connect me to the company but once connected a recording came on and said that the ext was incorrect.
