UNWANTED CALL

I lifted the handset an inch and hung it back up.  They called right back, and I did not answer.  We are a local company and don't do business more than 50 miles away, so there is no reason at all for out of state calls from unrecognized people and numbers.  We never take the calls.

Received call from this number and the person asked to speak to my husband when I stated he was not available she said I will call back when you are both available and hung up on me.  I called the number back it said it was Wells Fargo.  I actually called Wells Fargo and they told me this number is in no way linked to them.  Wells Fargo does not have 855 numbers only 800 and 866 numbers is what the rep at Wells Fargo told me.  Be careful people this is a scam.

I'm getting like 3 or 4 calls from this number a day. Sometimes they will call within 15 to 30 mins of the previous call. Very annoying.

Has anyone figured out exactly what they are trying to sell, pitch or otherwise make contact about?

Wells Fargo selling life insurance.

They are a scam to get your personnel ID information.  They have called me under different numbers with different approaches.  All of the scams are in some requiring you to give them Personnel information such as Birth-dates addresses and other information.  Today they were selling insurance.

Just hang up on them.

I recieved two calls right in a row.  first one was blocked number on my caller ID, the next was the number.  the blocked number asked for me on my voice mail.  I answered a few weeks ago.  they wanted to sell me something.  they also wanted a credit card number, i told them i had nune, he called me a lier.  i hung up on them.

Just received a call from this number.  Interesting, because I have had a business relationship with Wells Fargo and did receive a bona fide call from them about refinancing a loan some time ago.  I'm glad to learn of this scam and of this website in general

Number called again.  They asked for me by name and said they were calling from Wells Fargo, that I was eligible for an insurance policy.  I said put me on your do not call list and hung up.

They called and asked for someone who does not live here.

no answer calling 4 or 5 times a day. I am on the no calling list.

Came up as unavailable -- so am I.  I just don't answer calls labeled "unavailable."  I figure they'll get tired of calling.  I've turned the volume down on my ringer and it only rings twice & then goes to voice mail.

I called the number back and said it was from wells fargo for a solicitation.. and if you wanted to be removed from the solicitation to enter your phone number and a few prompts... its was easy.. and hopefully that will have them quit calling

It's great to see this page, I get sometimes a dozen calls in a day like this, VERY annoying. Something that seems to have helped is to pick up then immediately hang up. Just keep doing that for all "unknown caller" calls.

They call my home 3 to 4 times a day and it being a unknown number I just let the machine pick-up. I finally got tired of all the constant calling, and hang ups without any messages. I called the 1-855-881-7071 and a machine answered saying they had been trying to reach me for a insurance promo. by Wells Fargo. It then said it would call me back or by pushing the numbers when prompted they would take my number of the calling list.

I called the number back and a recording with a pleasant southern accent said  wells fargo had recently called to make a "special offer"   If I wanted to be removed from the solicitation list I was to enter my phone number after the tone.  
I have done business with Wells Fargo in the past year so they are allowed to call me despite my being on the Do Not Call list.

This number calls 2-3 times a day during business hours.  My phone is set up with caller id.  Every time I answer and say hello the line stays on for 5 seconds then hangs up on me.  No one answers back, sells me anything, ne recording, etc.  But it is very annoying to be constantly interrupted for nothing!  Thanks for the notes from the rest of you I called back and entered my number to opt out of their calls.
