Bogus threatening robocall supposedly from CRA, twice today
Canada Revenue Agency adevises Canadian taxpayers by mail only.
Do not reply.  This is a scam.

I receive the same call. I'm stressed now but thank you for the other to inform me.

I got this call right know I called the number they told me to call and no answer is [***]

Bogus call saying it's from the CRA. According to other sites the number is based in India. Fraud.

855 numbers are toll-free numbers in Canada and the USA, unless the caller is spoofing the number, in which case they don't expect you to call them back.

definately a scam. I called them and told them I retired from CRA after 40 years. He asked my badge number. CRA ( tax ) do not carry badges

Total scam, I call them back everyday and tell them that I work for CRA and they owe me money.

My husband just got the same phone call this morning with the same number. They told him that he owed money for Frau-ding his taxes, Said he would go to jail if unpaid... Did some research and found out it was a scam.....  Please do not fall for this as we almost did....

Total scam, Revenue Agency does not phone you, they contact you through mail. They left a message on our home phone, as soon as I heard it I knew it was bogus. I called the number and spoke very softly to some east indian idiot, asked him to turn up his phone cause I couldn't hear him, then gave him a sharp blast with a whistle! Called back again and gave him a blast with the air horn, no more calls, odd..............

The automated message was already going by the time I raised it to my ear...I heard something about the CRA and legal proceedings within the next 24 hours before I hung up.  Didn't let it bother me though as I have been hearing about this scam for a while.

Just got this same call with same robotic threat saying they are revenue Canada.  Was not directed to any member of household.  Sounded completely bogus but wanted to check online and found this message board.  I am sure it will be all over social media before long.  CRA has never called me out of blue and left non person-specific message.  It is total bait to prey on the scared, paranoid, and ignorant of our communities.  Very predatorial.  Post it on FB and whatever and expose this awful scam.

Received 2 automate calls and knew immediately it was a bogus fraud call from India. CRA WILL NEVER LEAVE THIS TYPE OF MESSAGE. CRA sends emails and directly to the named recipient only..

4x today!!! Seriously. So annoying. I received one similar to this a few weeks ago from an east Indian guy. Two different numbers. Same 9 digits but last number is 1.

Yesterday I got call from this number but I didn't receive the phone because this is unknown number. After that I heard voice mail  and think this is vogus call. I search google and confirm that this is not CRA number.

I rec'd a call today. They left a message indicating that there were "allegations" against me and to call 1-855-881-8145 - Nicky Johnson . I called. They had an accident, were very rude and demanded I call them back on Monday during THEIR hours 9-4, I asked them who am I calling? They said investigations and then quickly repeated themselves for me to call back on Monday then I said what is this for? they said a criminal investigation call back on Monday  during OUR hours for information", then hung up on me. I felt this was a bit shady and called back about 5 times only to get a  "busy" signal....weird.  I then googled that number. Looks like it may be in the States somewhere around Kansas?  I submitted a fraud report to CRA with the information. I will call the real CRA on Monday. But now they have confirmation of my name. I bet if I call back on Monday nobody will answer. Looks like they have this number to add onto this list.
