Received a call in which they requested to speak to me and my ex. I ignored the call when it came initially and when the voicemail picked up, a woman gave her name and when she was ready to say who she was calling for, there was a long pause and then hold music was put on. Then a call was made again, this time the number was blocked and the same woman left a message and stated that she was calling from the "litigation department" and a "very serious legal matter." She said that a call needed to be returned by 3pm that day. I returned the call and someone answered after 2 rings. She asked for the "case number" that was left on the message. I gave it to her and told her my name. She said she was trying to get in touch with my ex and that they didn't need me. I told her I don't talk to him anymore and that I no longer have his number. She said she'd make a note on the records and remove my number. The woman that called me twice before called right after I ended that call. She asked me again about my ex (she was clarifying his name) and I told her that I haven't spoken with him in years. My ex is notorious for having outstanding bills/loans so I was not surprised by the call. And after doing some research, saw that he has a warrant issued for his arrest for a missed court date. The woman then asked me if I knew someone else, a name I didn't recognize and I told her no. She said thanks and that she'd remove my number and not call again. I have not gotten a call since. I didn't ask for the company's name.
