This is the transcript of the call that came to my husband's Google number (not even mine) - "Message is for Suzanne ourselves. Hi David  (last name and our address) in Savannah. This is regarding a pending civil lawsuit in Chatham County. If you'd like to sit on this matter out of court, and avoid any levies and liens. You have 24 hours to contact the plaintiff to settle this matter out of court. The phone number is (855) 883-5655. You need to refer to your case number and S K L 000063430.

A - There are no civil cases (or any cases, for that matter) pending against me. Anywhere on the planet!
B - No name of the caller or the so-called "plaintiff" that allegedly has a law suit pending against me.
The call came last week on 5/28/15.

I just received this call today.....and it was on my daughters cell phone, not mine.

I got a call telling me there was a civil lawsuit in my county against me and if I didn't call back in 24 hours, my wages would be garnished.  They gave me a fake case number and the number 855-883-5655 to call back.  I knew it was a scam right away.  I called the courthouse to confirm that it was a scam as well.  Don't fall for it.

Same as Suzanz's call.  Threatening legal action, summons, and all kinds of good stuff.  Called the courthouse, the sheriff, and nothing, but they told me that I was not the first or only person who was duped.

I am receiving these calls telling me that they are going to send the sherif to my mother's house . I know I don't have civil law suits again me .

Got a call today from what my caller ID said was a "private caller." I didn't pick up, but listened to the message. Rather than the recorded messages I've been receiving for weeks, this sounded like a live person. Said his name was Patrick and he was a process server for my county, blablabla he'd be serving me at my home and my office. Gave me a case number and said I had to call 855-883-5655 by tomorrow. I know this is a scam because I owe no money and have no litigation pending. I thought that by not responding to the previous calls, this nonsense would stop. What does it take to make these bottom feeders go away?

This is a common scam.  Real process servers don't call.  There has been nothing filed against you.  Call the Courthouse if you have any concerns.

File a complaint against them with the CFPB to try to shut these guys down.

i received the same message with the same telephone  number on , how can we stop this 8/3/2015, i looked up the area code it was from cambodia
