left voice message on my cell. said a hold was placed on my card due to fraudulent activity. Did not specify what type of card.  Said Barkley or Barclay or something.  I called it back, got recording to put credit card number in. I hung up. Def. a scam

Fraudulent

Suspicious, as it came through on my cell phone.  I only use my home number with credit card companies.  Wasn't going to give info, but did try to call number.  "Out of service".  Never heard of Mast Card World Credit Card!!

Just got a call too.  DUH!  as if I am gonna put in my credit card number.....I don't even have a Barclay credit account.  Tried the 16 digit 00000   disconnected immediately!  UGH!  I wish I could hunt them down!  I HATE SCAMMERS!

Just got a call from this number, too, about a problem with Mastercard.  Scam, scam, scam...

Yeah, these tools tried to pull the "fraud protection" scam on me. Not falling for it.

Same thing happened to me--right after I'd used another credit card.

Just got a call on my cell phone also using 1-855-900-7878.   Said my master card world account nay have fraudelent activity and that a hold may gave been put on my account.  I do not have an account with that name.  Also my husband got a call almost a week ago with same number saying they were Barclay Card Services and that he may have fraudelent activity on his card.  Same thing no account with them.  Be weary.   Don't ever call a number and just put your credit card number in.

Just got a voicemail with this number.  Obvious fraud as I don't have a MasterCard or an account with Barclays.

Called twice, once stating that my card was stolen and the second time announced they were from Barclay Card fraud detection.  They wanted you to enter your card and you could not go to a human being.  Started calling two days ago.

Got the call with voicemail saying my MasterCard was being put on hold due to some suspicious activity. I called and put my acct number in twice but both times the called ended with them saying the acct number was invalid. The fact that I was unable to get to a human made me get suspicious. Based on this site I see it is a scam. Although I gave my account number without the expiration date or security code that information should be worthless.

Do not give this number your creditcard info. Call your CC company and report you received this phone call. Check your statements. Never provide personal information if you are unsure who is in the other end of temhe phone!

the phone call stated that our account was on hold and needed to call this number to verify and remove the "frozen" account.  Did not really id themselves - sounded like Barkley online.
