- Nat Bailey| 1 replyA guy named Larry Johnson has called numerous times claiming he has papers for me to sign for at my home address. States if I'm not home to receive the summons he would go to my place of employment!
- ConyA guy named Larry Johnson has called numerous times claiming he has papers for Blanca Portello to sign for at my home address. States if I'm not home to receive the summons he would go to my place of employment! I'm not this Blanca and the address he has is not my address. But he wont stop calling. What do I do?
- AnonymousCalled saying the same thing but left his name as Paul Cole.
- MitchI live in Kansas. I do not answer my phone to numbers I do not recognize. I've been getting similar voice mail messages from the same number from a guy named Paul Cole or Colden (NY accent). He says he has received a document forwarded under my name and SS number that requires a signature. The other day he said he would be coming by my place of business or my home today, Tuesday June 9th no later than 5 p.m. (it is now 5:20) Today he called back and told me that he will be coming by my house tomorrow between 5 and 6 P.M. How nice to give me warning and how absurd that anyone wishing to serve papers would let you know when they were coming. I'm sure I have a much better chance of the Easter Bunny paying me a visit than this guy, especially thinking he would probably have to travel 1,500 miles to do it.

- janA guy named Scott called me from this number stating he has a case judgement against me and he was going to serve me papers on my job and left this number to call him but when I called no Scott but a John.
- Grace replies to Nat BaileyDid anything ever come of this? Did he show up or has continued to call?
- MelanieI got a call yesterday and another one this morning. Both messages said they were going to serve me with a summons that had been faxed to their office and that they would serve me either at home or at my place of employment (I'm unemployed). The call today said the summons was for William Borgreve and the call was from a Ryan Franklin.
- DeedyReceived two voice mails from a man saying he was Jack Jones and he was serving me with an official complaint. He referenced an ID number for the complaint and threatened to serve me at work or home if I did not call. I call but only get put on hold with a beeping noise. I left two messages for Jack Jones to call me back. I'm sure he won't. Scam! He called from 855-901-1306.
- MelanieI received yet another call from a restricted number telling me the same crap about the summons. That's 3 calls in five days.
- KaylaSame here. They have been calling for my husband for months, calling family members as well. Today I answered. She said she was with a career service and papers were faxed to her with a formal complaint and summons. Said they need to serve him the papers. I told her to send the proper authorities to serve the papers because a career service does not have any business doing so. She would not explain why a career service would serve such papers and said she would be here between 3-4 and quickly hung up on me. I sure hope she does show up
- StephanieHi this message is again intended for Arturo Francis my name is Nicholas Smith I'm calling to inform you that your given the opportunity to contact the plaintiff office gave me no effort to do so. So at this point I'm actually attempting to serve you at your home address and your place of employment. You do however have until I reach you personally to contact that office at 855-901-1306 with your case ID number which is 120708 dash 5457. You have been officially notified.
This is the exact message I received today on my visual voicemail. Total scam. - Renee Welch| 7 repliesI have gotten 7 calls from various people saying they were faxed a complaint and they are going to serve me. They've called friends and family. If it is a legitimate complaint, I wish they would serve me, or leave me and everyone else alone.
- WolfmanJack replies to Renee Welch| 6 repliesThis is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number. Now why would a “process server” want to do you, a stranger, a favor, and at the same time not get paid to deliver the papers?
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

- Bill replies to DesperateAsk the scammer what meals he plans to 'serve' you. 'Nicklas Sanders' must indeed be a waiter. When the AH calls again, tell him your preferences for foods he should 'serve' to you, and your family.
