Yes, it's the "your computer is giving us error messages" scam.  Glad  you didn't fall for it.  Have a good night.

I also received a yellow post card asking me to call 855-901-9227 about a recently closed mortgage, but I do not have a recently closed mortgage. This is suspicious. I would think my bank would call me regarding any issue!

Its a little shady. I called, they said my name but wanted additional information regarding my loan. Sounds like they're trying to sell additional coverage for home loan in case I die.

I received a "yellow card" by mail today with the above number on it as well.  Postage paid by a Daytona Beach, FL Permit #447.  I don't have a recent mortgage with the credit union mentioned, but I do have a credit line.

In the fine print on the bottom right side of the card, it states "All information provided by H.W.C. 855-901-9227. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, and loan information not provided by (credit union name)."  There's a mortgage ID# 1818-721-434 also printed on the card and found nowhere in my transactions with the credit union.  I'm sure I will be hearing more about their important matter regarding, ah, whatever....

Got the pink card today with same message and my actual credit union referenced in tiny print on lower right corner. I'm going to take it to the credit union to see if they can do more than I can with these scammers.

If these are the same idiots I think they are,  they are trying to sell mortgage life insurance. I've received various mailings in the last few weeks since we sold our house and bought a new one with the same "time- sensitive" crap as the others.

If this was serious, it would note who it was from and also most likely be sent certified. Or at least have WAY more detail. Here's an example of the scam:

    Time for the shredder.
