When I look up the number, it says Empower. I do have retirement portfolio with Empower. But when I called Empower at the number on my portfolio to verify if the strange number was valid, they told me they don't have this number.  I'll block it and whenever I see it, I will simply call Empower from my known to me number for them and determine what they may need from me.  Just to add, they have NEVER called me randomly in the 10 years I have been with them and this is why I questioned the veracity of the call.

They asked for my social and PIN and then said they could not verify my account at this time.

It seems to be fake, not from Empower. Repeatedly called and never left a message,

Just received a call from a Dennis from empower stating he could help with my portfolio. Voice was very monotone and I was immediately alarmed. Gave two numbers to call him back- 303 345-6557 or the number in this thread.

Called from this number. Called back, they pretended to be Empower and the first question was to enter my entire social security number. Scam!
