Same number same woman Nicole Edwards. Still have the voicemail they left.

Aggressive. Keeps hanging up when I ask for the name of the company and why they are calling.

Voicemail that was left-“Hi this is Nicole Edwards calling in reference to a civil complaint that has been filed against you this is the last and final notice for you after today ⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ court could get notified _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ action and there could be a court hearing without your participation which could lead to additional find it is important to do contact the office as soon as possible or you can contact us to let us know what your intentions are today you can contact us at 855-917-6240 again that number is 855-917-6240 or press one to be transferred to a live representative thank you”

Scam. Spoofing numbers to make you think someone local is calling.

I have the same voicemail and the exact same name Nicole Edwards!!!! Wow people really

My husband asked who it was well what company and what they were calling for because they asked to speak with me and he said that’s my wife and the lady got all aggressive and rude and said well obviously your not her are u duh then blocked both of our numbers after he woke me up to tell me!!

Same as all the above - reported as fraud and scam and blocked!

Same as above except yesterday she called from an Anchorage, Alaska phone number and today it was from Bonner Springs, KS.

Got a call from this number, called back, asked for wrong guy and told them they had wrong number. Proceeded to get extremely rude, even violent over the phone, called me a liar, read me my full name and county I lived in and continued to bash me for several minutes while I tried to get information such as a name, company, etc… scam debt collector using wds (Wells Fargo dealer services) in beginning of the call, if these people think it’s okay to act like this they need to just remove themselves from existence…

I got one call from 912-785-1019 exact message and I looked it up and it was for a landline in Georgia. Then just now I got the exact same message from 920-319-3695 telling me to call 855-917-6240

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.
