Called regarding our "contract for computer services."  They are going to charge our credit card $399 if we don't call and cancel. We do not have a contract with anyone regarding our computer.  No name, no company, no identifying info.  I have blocked this call.

Called regarding my firewall services. When i told them they needed to call the company not myself, they kept insisting to keep the service - which i never signed up for. Ended up blocking the number and hanging up

Said they were the Refund department.  I blocked them.

I listened to them on voice mail.  I didn't call them back.  Thanks for the comments from those that did!!!!

Do you really think a company would call you for a refund. I bet they are fishing for info.

No, not quite. They want money and try to trick you into "filling out a form" on your computer after getting you to give them remote access, then get you to open your banking account website, pretending they can't see it. Next the black out your screen and do an HTML trick with developer tools built into most Browsers and make you believe they "over paid" you. Next they want you to pay back the difference with Gift Cards.

That is the scam in a nutshell.

Thank you Mike for explaining what will happen if you let these monsters in your comp. I knew it was a scam message However, a almost identical scenario happened to a family member w/ some dementia and they got into her bank acct and locked her out of her laptop. It was a nightmare. This is very real!
