This number is attached to a scam Amazon order confirmation.

Scam call fro Amazon Prime- trying to get my info from my computer. Supposed name was Jason Monon- gave me a number missing a digit.

Total scam and pretty slick!

LOL, so far I've bought a 46" plasma tv and 1tb laptop (shipped to AK) and a 128gb MacBook Pro (going to TX).  for a whopping $3798.42!  I **WISH** I had that just sitting around...

Scam amazon email confirmation sent to my email.  Really looked authentic.  I went to my amazon account and there was no order.

Got the fake Amazon email with this 855-948-3687 in the embedded jpeg body - an obvious fake.  I turned off my caller id and called the number and egged them on using my "poor me" voice and playing super dumb.   Just before the point of giving them any info - I asked "is this really Amazon?".  Yes, of course he said = to which I responded "no you're not"  - then he asked "why'd you call"  - then hung up.   Did a carrier check of this tollfree number which was registered on 2-20-2020 - and reported to the abuse email for the carrier (TollXchange in this case).

I called in response to an email from "amazon" that showed that a delivery of a laptop was going to be made to a person in TX.  Got an initially helpful sounding person but then while i was on hold I checked my order history and there was nothing of the sort there.  Person then told me that there were four people impersonating me and that they had "compromised your IP address. Do you know what IP is, ma'am?" (LOL)  He then told me that the way to discourage the hackers and make everything clean and safe again would be for me to buy a "license key" ($200, which would be refunded to me of course) and then they would provide me with a "blocking code #" that would require verification....On and on.When I questioned the authenticity of all this -- "do you really work for amazon?" -- he got increasing desperate and alarmist about my account.  I told him I would check with the security people at the university where I work and hung up.

I got an email that was supposedly sent by amazon.  I didn't bother calling them; checked the phone number first and got to this site.

I got an email confirmation for something that I did not order, to be sent to someone I don't know.  Amazon doesn't list a phone number on orders and this had it twice.  Also item ordered does not appear in my recent orders.  Very clever scam.

Total [***] scam.  Delete the email, and this number was in the email. 855-948-3687

Rcvd alarming email that appears one bank or cc was used to order an new apple mac mini processor for over $1,049.99 and it was being delivered to Fred Trueman (realistic name) at 142 virginia rd youngstown, oh 44505.  I suspect they want me to call their toll free # and start a conversation. Booooogus.
