this is a scam that is based out of new york, the address is 9701 niagara falls new york 14304 which is their base of operations... they are operating under the name "the lasalle recovery bureau" however that is not the companies name. it shows that if you look up the address which is linked to the ip address to the website that is (coincidentally disabled now) the name is asset consulting experts (ace for short) they also say that is the "payment processing system" however that is also no true... be careful with these folks. they will mean talk you into next friday... oh yeah and if they contact you, ask them for proof that you have taken such a loan out (it is their obligation to prove to you that they own the debt) if they say they can email it to you... say "absolutely not" i want a hard copy in the mail" they will tell you things like "oh its the same exact thing, we want to send it to you through email so that we can set this up as soon as possible so that you dont have to go into _____ county civil court." at that point you stay strong and say "i know my rights as a consumer... you need to send me something in the mail, if you do not comply with what i am asking, then you can shove it up your ass" and hang up on them

ReceivedA call from 855977216 stated it sounded like OIB firm not sure if they didn't make it very clear when I return the call it was LaSalle recovery they had a complaint and I had 24 hours to call the office back person calling statedher name was Nicole Smith and I told them I did not want them to call me again that I will be pressing charges against them and that I knew they were a scam outfit so I guess I will see if they call me again

Received another call from Nicole Smith when ask who alleged creditor was she said GTI  which is one name of many. I told her I already researched this and have never received a loan from them and she would need to send me something through the mail. She stated there was not time for that and I said fine she then said see you in court and hung up on me

Whei called back I asked tgem to remove my number they told me mo.  She said u have 24 hours to call me back or im processing your poryfolio to the county court house

I am receiving calls from Carol Richards 855-977-2165 ext 611 stating she will proceed if I do not have my attorney contact her and that is the only way they will stop contacting me.

Received a call from a William Grant from Lasalle recovery bureau stating that I  have 24 hours to call back.  He said that I have ignored emails....(never received them) and if I do not call back my name will become public record....855-977-2165, called on my work phone and caller id came up Public Caller.

damn [***] gave me a nervous breakdown I'm back on my meds againthere should be a way to keep people doing this to honest people

Say i owed on a payday loan, and they are going to report it. I don't owe anything.

Also file a complaint with the BBB and follow through with it.

Emails are not acceptable - per the FDCPA, the debt collector is required to MAIL proof of debt/proof they have the legal right to collect said debt within five days of their initial contact with you.  Refusal to mail this documentation is a violation of federal law.  The threats are also illegal.  If they call back let them know you've reported them to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General (and do report them).  Read the information Tamianth posted below also.
