The only company that I can find with that name is an investment firm.  Did you get the name wrong?

How do you know that?  You don't seem to have a lot of information about this company or the call itself.  That alone does not make this illegal or a scam so I don't know why you brought it up.  I certainly does not negate the debt.  Why didn't you post in the thread for that other number as well?

No BigA I did not get the name wrong or the number. When I answered the phone that’s who they said was calling. I did research on the company and that’s one thing they do, buy debt from others companies. Maybe you don’t understand the wording under the companies description. Just because you never heard of it doesn’t mean it’s not true. I don’t have any debt and they asked for me, so yes, I think it’s illegal to tell me I have debt when I don’t have any debt from any companies.

I see nothing on their website that states that they purchase debt.  If you go through the whole website there is one sections that mentions that they do debt restructuring for their clients.  That is not the same a purchasing debt.  Since you did all of that "research" why didn't you do a better job of posting the information on the company?  Here is the website that I found.  It is the same one that comes up on both Yahoo and Google.  http://springhillcap.com/capital_markets.html
